The BEST

I've been using this app for years and it literally has been one of the biggest learning tools I have experienced. It is the absolute best way to search through Wikipedia.

Abandoned app

Last update 5 years ago. Look elsewhere.

my eyes!

hi, we love this app! but we can't use for long because no dark mode as yet *hint hint*

Third party wikis are broken

Home/random page actions either don't work or crash the app. This is the primary differentiating feature from the official Wikipedia app.

Extremely Biased. No longer trustworthy

Extremely slow. Cannot handle how to display charts at all. Constantly begging for money. Extremely biased. Use Grokipedia if you want more objectivity and facts.

My most used app

I’ve had an iPhone since they first came out and have had this app since the app store’s beginning. This will always be my most used app. It’s Wikipedia at your fingertips, always works, and does what it says it’s going to do.

Hasn’t aged well

I used to love this app but it hasn’t been supported in years and it’s much slower than just using the web version of wikipedia or other apps.

Sloooow

Extremely slow. Cannot handle how to display charts at all. Constantly begging for money.

Very simple very useful

I use it all the time, I find the user interface better than Wikipedia’s own

Very useful and easy to use

I have been using this app since at least 2012 I believe. I find it better structured and easier to use than the official Wikipedia app. I wish it were still maintained though. Some minor bugs in formatting need fixing. But it is my favourite reading and learning app by far.

Really useful app

Perfect for looking up a person or any stats about them.

Needs iOS 18 support

It does its job. However, no dark mode and no support for iOS 18 dark icons means that this app has fallen behind and needs updating.

Plus de mise à jour

Appli pas mise à jour depuis 3 ans. Beaucoup d’articles s’affichent mal désormais. Dommage !

Wikipanion is way too far from Objective.

This app and Robert Chin are clouded by the main stream fake media slanting their narrative way too hard left. No objective data or information. I can’t trust it anymore.

Doesn’t include message texts when send links

I noticed when I send a link from the app to a text MMS or iMessage recipient(s) or group, the text I add as a caption or info does not show up. Only the link is sent and it looks random in my text feed.
Just a quirk I wish could be fixed.

Sehr langsam

Die App ist unerträglich langsam geworden. Die Originalapp ist deutlich schneller und mit intuitiverer Menüführung. Außerdem fehlt ein Dunkelmodus.

Uninstall

No tabbed browsing. As useless as the Wikipedia app.

It’s over. Severe lag and issues.

For years I’ve used this. I mean, has it been a decade? Maybe! I know I’ve had this for ages. For so long it’s worked better than the actual wiki app when it was new, back when that app was literally a shortcut that would open Safari. Well I’m not sure what happened, but within the last few months it’s basically become nearly unusable. You type something in, it doesn’t register you’ve tapped the text box several times, then it will basically soft freeze for several moments while it decides it’s going to search what I’ve typed. Sometimes during that lag, it’ll show what I’ve searched and the related options but if you press the wrong thing, you’ve set yourself up for a fight. Cause now the app will lag to go backwards, get confused when you type the correct thing, lag some more. No idea what just happened but if a literal link to wiki isn’t working, I have no reason to continue on with it. Nowadays, the actual Wiki app works! It’s been working for years now. So I can leave this behind. But thanks for the memories and help through the years!!!

Great, but it really needs dark mode support

I’ve been using this app for well over 10 years. It’s nice but these days dann mode support is really missing. 5 stars otherwise!

Incorrect screen size on iPhone 13

Hello! Thank you for the app, it is great and I am your user since the beginning. Problem is that app working in iPhone 13 does not use full screen and shows like it is iPhone 7 screen. It is strange that on iPhone XR which has the same screen size everything work great and size of the screen is full.
