Rigid and unhelpful

This education system is incredibly difficult to navigate. It is rigid and narrow the way it controls how you can study, and a lot of important information is purposely omitted from the textbook requiring you to go on an easter egg hunt for needles in an information hay stack. There is no guide on how to use it, even though it controls your learning rigidly. And using it feels like a losing battle.

I am a traditional learner, i read the text and make notes and it has always worked well for me. WileyPLUS is a new way of learning and it does not allow you to learn the way you are used to, it forces you to learn their way and does not even tell you how. I find it controls my success by forcing me to use the extra resources by making exclusive content in them that the text does not clearly explain. I do not like learning this way at all, I find it actually obstructs and inhibits my success as a student. I am only surviving due to already knowing bookkeeping.

This system makes accounting more complicated than it needs to be and destroys my confidence. I am spending a lot of time on their system and it’s not helping me, it’s actually making me burn out and struggle to keep up with other courses. I normally don’t need extra help, but because of Wiley, I am struggling and burning out.

Bad product

Lots of bugs. Links in text don’t load. Practice problems full of typos.

Page numbers??

Now who’s genius idea is as it to NOT NUMBER THE PAGES? Why is it not an option to insert the page number I’m wanting to go to? I’ve tried time and time again but nothing works.

Barely works

Barely works and works badly. Scrolling is super slow and pages don’t load as they should. Very aggravating.

Fixed Income Securities: Valuation, Risk, and Risk Management

Terrible experience. No ability to select text, change font size, or enable dark mode reading. This book has no text to speech support or scrolling. Overall the reading experience is very unintuitive and frustrating. Pls fix.

Can’t log in

Won’t even ring up the keyboard to log in

Improvements needed

Reader is fine but the highlighting function is awful - incredibly difficult to select the correct text for highlights

Wiley reader

Not good just the pic of the app picture

Can’t see anything I want

Shows a blank with the chapter I wanna read. Poor app

Can’t swipe between pages

From a user experience perspective, the fact that you can’t swipe between textbook pages is absolutely horrible and have to tap the arrow button millions of times to get to the page you want. Why do education apps have to be terrible? Why can’t they provide a good user experience that can enhance students’ productivity?

Very bad

Expensive and very useless

Won’t work

Not only are you everything wrong with education your app is also trash

Cannot log in

The Log In button is disabled. My password is old and short, so I went to the website and changed it to something more complex. Didn’t help.

Writing!!!

Please add a writing/scribbling feature on the app. It really helps me study and I’m sure it’ll help others as well.

Extremely disappointing

Do NOT waste your time with this app if you expect what you see to be the same as the printed book. It isn’t. The text is just dumped on the page with no formatting other than headings. Get the Kindle version instead.

Tables, figure captions, section headings, and links and do not display properly, making the reading experience much more difficult. It looks like something from the 1990s.

There is no swipe option to turn the page. Actually, there are no pages, just continuous text, so you never know what page of the book you are actually on. Crazy for something that is designed for reading textbooks and other publications.

When you highlight something, there is no option to export those highlights. They are stuck in the app and can’t be copied.

Oh, to top it off, there is a “no refunds” policy once you’ve purchased the book. Pretty sure that’s against the law.

Love it

It saves bringing the book around

Thorough

I love how this textbook doesn’t just give the final answer but includes a thorough explanation to help students understand and learn the material.

Okay, I’m Legitimately Impressed

Helpful and totally worth keeping the app on my iPhone. I’m surprised! Nicely done, Wiley.

Great

App is great for reading the text book on the go. Just what I was looking for. Easy to use.

Great but minor issues

The app and desktop versions are organized efficiently and include useful tools such as text to audio and note highlights. There are also videos to walk you through sample problems and a solutions section at the end of the book for ALL problems. My only issue is the solutions area due to the formulas/worked out problems do not show the entirety of the solution clearly. Some parts are either missing or do not display correctly. For example, some (not all) equal signs appear as hash marks similar to that of a minus sign or a piece will be missing in the middle of a solution so I’ll have to guess what could be there.
