For You, from your countries and topics - For You shows the countries you choose - your Home Country until you follow others. - Follow a country and a topic together, like Sports in Germany, from Edit For You or a story's long-press menu. - Topics you follow bring in each country's Google News section, so they fill up. - A source you follow adds its stories. Unfollowing always asks first. A daily briefing of every story you follow - Your daily briefing covers every story For You showed in the last 24 hours - hundreds on a busy day. - It opens with a real summary in your Summary Style: the key points and what they add up to, written on-device by Apple Intelligence on supported iPhone models, and picked from the articles everywhere else. - Top stories come next - the ones most outlets covered, with the count - then key facts and every story grouped by topic, with Show all. - Every summary in the app - Saved groups, the Digest, a story's coverage, Home's feed - leads the same way. - Copy, Edit Text, Share or Listen from the bar at the bottom. - Nothing plays until you tap Listen, and Stop keeps it quiet. - The newest briefing waits at the top of For You, and a Morning Briefing notification at the time you pick opens it. - Make your own plans: daily, weekly, on the days you pick, or every few hours when the news refreshes. Notify me tells you when one is ready. - Country briefings first research that country's own outlets. Translation in place, summaries from the whole article - Translate replaces the headline, description and summary right in the story. Show Original switches back. - Summaries are built from the full article, not the feed teaser. - With Apple Intelligence on a supported iPhone, Apple's on-device model writes them - nothing leaves your device. - When a translation can't be made, WillaNews says why. Also new - A quick setup on first launch: your country and topics. - Settings shows your Home Country - change it with the Country chip on Home. - Summary Style offers four clear presets. - Tapping a notification opens the stories it names. - Story buttons say what they do: Reader or Open in Safari. - Every story names the outlet that wrote it - Google News stories too - with a country flag. - Story clusters group only coverage of the same event and count each outlet once, and "Also in" shows how outlets in other countries cover the same story. - Export Saved as Markdown or CSV. Saved's overview opens your latest briefing. - Summaries of Saved groups, clusters and Home's feed open as one report to copy, edit, share or hear. - Briefings and Saved summaries can include all stories, not just 5, 8 or 12.
