Updated review
I originally gave a one star review because I couldn’t use the app with iOS 13. I contacted the seller and they fixed the issue very quickly!
Unfortunately, the app is not user friendly so I’m not able to use the thermometer.
Issues with the app:
The clock can’t be changed from 24hr to 12hr. I don’t utilize the 24hr clock, 12hr clock should be an option.
There is no history of the temps or times they were taken, just a trend graph that has very little info. The most you can get from the available trend graph is an estimate on time and temperature.
The temperature is shown in the app while wearing the thermometer, but I really need the history of all the temperatures, and the times they were taken. This is a helpful for knowing how long it takes for medication to bring a fever down, or how much it brought the fever down. There is no clear way to see this history in the app, nor is there a way to export this info.
Once you power the thermometer off the trend graph disappears, so even if you wanted to try to guess the temp/time history later, you can’t. Not that the graph is even useful anyway, I just wanted to note it.
The inability to see a clear history of the temps and the times they were taken makes this thermometer pretty much useless for me. It’s too bad since the design of the thermometer itself is really great.
Pros for the thermometer design:
The thermometer has a high quality design. I’ve used nearly every Bluetooth thermometer available, and this is hands down the best quality.
It is has a silicone body with a nice size sensor on it.
It has an led light that blinks appropriately to show its status. This is great because for some reason the leds on BT thermometers never seem to do what they are supposed to. This one does.
It is extremely easy to power on and off. This is another issue that most BT wearable thermometers have. Some of them have to be shaken on/off, some have an invisible “button” and an led that is supposed to light, but never works correctly. Some you can’t figure out how to power off and you have to replace the battery with every use. With this one it’s as simple as placing it in the case and removing it. Awesome.
It’s small and comfortable to wear.
Overall, the design is wonderful. It’s just a shame that the app is for the most part, useless.
Final thoughts:
If in the future the app is improved with the ability to see a list of temperatures and times they were taken, and the ability to to set the time to a 12hr clock, I will update my review accordingly.
In the least, I hope the devs make it so there is a way to view a list of the history of temps and the times they are taken. That way I can actually use it!
