Horrible can’t add camera app keeps on shutting down
Awful
When I try to add a camera with ip it closes the app. When I do have a camera added it takes forever to connect and most time it fails. Get some better developers and build a better app.
Not much use
So the computer/browser interface is awful, so I hoped this would be better. It’s not. Well it looks and runs better for me, but it does nothing to help manage the camera. It views and saves image/video data - which seems to be ok, but no settings seem to be accessible via the app. Dumb.
Return The Camera Immediately
Camera works “ok” but the app is horrible. Doesn’t look anything like the preview shows and most features only work occasionally or not at all. Don’t waste your money and save yourself a headache.
No User Manual
Cannot find user manual. Website links to someplace else. What???
Mediocre App
The app is OK. The following suggestions could make it a 5 star app:
- Fix connection issues (e.g. Frequently gets stuck on the connecting screen. To fix, have to close app and re-open. Sometimes it takes 3 times +/-)
- Have the ability to view multiple cameras at once
- Add the ability to multitask (i.e. I can’t talk/listen at the same time I am trying to change the view).
- Not all your products are compatible with your app (e.g. WinBook T6835 only works with VSCam app)
The app is functional and has its bugs, but the bugs are minor annoyances. I hope these issues are fixed and soon because the WinBook product is very affordable. Making the app better would make it the best security camera on the market.

Freezes constantly
This app and 2 cameras are being tested for product review. So far not so good. Cameras not online a majority of the time.
Hours setting up, can’t get it to work
Spent several hours trying to get to work.
Setup is fine, but camera freezes after three minutes, you can see network speed fall and go to zero inside of 20 seconds. Restart app, and twenty seconds again, and you’re done.
The old WinBook cameras are rock solid. Whatever they changed, Networking stack is tripped up I’m guessing, now this new version is inoperable.

App is horrible....
The app freezes every time you open it so you have to re-open and refresh in order to live stream. If my house was getting robbed, I wouldn’t even know or miss it because the app is so slow.

Great concept but poor execution. App is very buggy and locks up within 2 minutes of use. This defeats the purpose of the camera entirely.

Freezing
The camera was a breeze to setup but every time I got to the app onto my iphone7 the app keeps freezing and I have to shutdown the app and turn back on a few times for it to work them of course when recording it freezes and then I have to restart the win book app. Please fix that freezing bug and everything will be good

App crashes more often than not
Cameras are easy to add but beyond that you’d be better off buying a DVR or NVR and using better cameras that don’t stop responding for no apparent reason.

Works but trouble adding second camera
Have camera in Home in Wisconsin which can view remotely fine. Trying to setup a second camera, same model but cannot get remote view. Can only see on computer on same WiFi network.
Works OK but could use some simple updates
Adding cameras is straight forward, but no instructions for adding camera wirelessly. It can be done, however, through the "Network" setting. Also, I would recommend a native English speaker update the apps prompts and responses. Lastly, it would be nice to have a live view of all cameras; currently the menu just has still pics of the last time you viewed the camera and you have to click on the camera you want to see live. One more thing is annual cloud service (7 day retention) is $50 which is cheaper than Nest ($100 I think).

App too confusing
It has a good amount of features, but I have no idea how to set up a recording schedule, or get image attachments with my alerts.
When it works
I thought I would try this inexpensive camera as a cheap addition to the Swann cameras I already had in place. The ability to connect outside of the home with this App only works 40% of the time where the Swann cameras and app always work. If the app was better this would be an amazing device.
