Yes, Wind & Runways is specifically built to provide weather information for smaller grass strips, private fields, and non-towered airports, not just those with METARs. If an airport doesn't report its own weather, it finds and displays data from a nearby reporting station.
How does Wind & Runways calculate wind components?
For each airport, the app calculates headwind, tailwind, and crosswind components for every runway end using the latest available weather data. It clearly indicates calm conditions or direct crosswinds.

The app includes information for over 76,000 airports globally, covering name, elevation, runway data, and surface type. This information is available even for airports that do not report their own weather.
