Calculate heading and ground speed for flight planning, wind speed and direction for in-flight wind assessment, or any other parameter in the aviation wind triangle! Whether you need an easy wind solver for flight planning or you're a student pilot learning the ins and outs of the E6B wind side, this app makes solving the wind triangle intuitive and easy. With the in-flight wind assessment (GPS-enabled devices only), the app uses GPS and heading to automatically calculate the current wind at your altitude by just inputting your TAS or CAS with conditions. This brings integrated flight deck capabilities to your aircraft with a readout of your current head/tail- and crosswind components. Inputs supported: heading, true airspeed, ground speed, track, wind direction, wind speed. Input any four parameters and the app calculates the rest. Calibrated airspeed (CAS) may be set instead of TAS. Inputting CAS prompts you to set barometric setting, indicated altitude, and outside air temperature (OAT). From this, TAS, pressure altitude, and density altitude are calculated. Try GPS mode (supported devices only) on the ground by enabling the GPS Demo Mode option.
