They are now charging people 12.99 a month to see the news. I’m deleting the app. Don’t get it, not worth it.
Doesn't Work
I have a subscription. The app doesn't work and will not let me sign in, though I can on my comp with the same info. So, the app doesn't work.

Had this app on my phone for many years and now since the upgrade in 2024 - deleted it. App is now charging a subscription fee and isn’t user friendly either. No thanks.
Go back to old app this update is terrible.
Terrible app update was much better before not recommended at all.

I believe that the older app was more user friendly and you also could review obits…. The new app not so.

This only thing consistent about this app is how often it doesn’t work. And when you reach out to support the answer is remove and reinstall the app. And when you say you’ve done this they say you may have to do it several times.

It has not worked for a long time and the report a problem email is invalid.
Issues when reading news
For the most of time, the app won’t function properly, as you open a new article, it would automatically load another new page, which has the same content but extremely laggy, and eventually froze. Please fix it asap.
Garbage app
Paper media struggling to be relevant should make better app. See Blockbuster for not getting with the times.
Please update the app
The app is full of bugs, can’t share, won’t load content often times. I don’t have these issues with other news apps.
The Windsor Star App Not Functioning
The Windsor star App has been my go to local news App since it’s inception. However, over the past week it keeps telling me to “reload”. The App is not functioning. I have deleted and reloaded the app countless times and it is still not working!

Freezes constantly on iPhone 12 Mini since the most recent update. App causes phone to shut down and restart by itself. Some content loads fine while others presents a blank screen and then locks up entire phone.

Crashes my phone
I have an iPhone 12 max. Periodically, when I click on a story, this app causes my phone to freeze and then restart. This has been happening for several weeks now.
Crashing since latest update - NO app support
I used this app daily for years. Since the latest update 2 weeks ago, the app crashes and shuts down my phone completely. Now I see that this iPhone app was the only free version. Is Windsor Star getting greedy for money and crashing it on purpose, so we go to their paid app? I’ll find a better news source before I do that.
