Latest update makes me want to cancel

It’s rare that an update actually makes an app LESS useful. It’s even stranger when the developer goes out of their way to remove a feature instead of just leaving well enough alone. The latest update reduces the ability to set a search radius - used to be you could choose 5, 10, 20, whatever miles - and instead only allows two options, in state only or “near me” which sets a hard radius of 50 miles. 50 miles is useless to people who live in major metropolitan areas - say, NYC, a huge market for wine searcher - when the city is about 10 miles wide and the vast majority aren’t driving. Same for Chicago, San Fran, wherever.

Anyway, it makes the app somewhat useless for me so I’ll be cancelling my subscription until the search radius is settable again.

Almost Perfect

Love, love, love this app. I have the upgraded version and use this app daily to research and purchase wines. However, I wish it had 2 additional features…I can’t write notes about the wines I’m researching and thinking of purchasing without writing a review. If I already tried it I wouldn’t need to document the research. I have to use another well known app to make my notes. The second is that the app does not summarize your favorite wines by wine shops. Everyone knows buying in cases optimizes the shipping costs/bottle. So I have to use another excel spreadsheet to track which shops are carrying my soon to be purchased wines so that when I make a case I can order. Other than these issues I love this app!!!

Total scam

I was hopeful, but ultimately astonished that they do not control any of the people that participate. I reached out to Wine-Searcher directly and asked for help when they failed to ship me a case of wine that I ordered. They said I need to take it up with the shop I ordered it from. Offered no support no help. I subsequently tried to pursue the individual purveyor to no avail. $700 down the drain. Do not use the people associated with this app under any circumstance.

Greta app

Although wine classification is very subjective, the app brings good guidance on choosing. I like it. The only negative comment is about prick in Brazil. It does not shot the prices or the most common sellers and generally shows discount prices.

Local search has degraded significantly

I used to be able to narrow my search to my state and, by un-selecting the check box that included stores that ship to my state, I could force the app to display several in-state stores that carry my searched wine locally. Now it seems that without a paid subscription, this function has been overridden to only show me out of state stores that presumably pay for preferred placement. Yeah, I get that, but I’m not about to drive to New Jersey to get a bottle I want for dinner tonight. So the app has now become useful only to get a general idea of average prices nationally.

We want to clarify that we’ve recently updated our filters to make 'Nearby' and 'In-State' searching easier to access. You should now be able to use the 'Nearby Stores' filter or toggle your state location to see local results without a PRO subscription. Almost all labels you search for come with reliable reviews and accurate market prices; additionally, many labels include detailed information about regions and vintages.

The only downsides are few app crashes and price in Brazil that is quite expensive.

Please fix

The app is a mess right now. Can’t click favorite stores. The filter refreshes everytime. Have used the app for many years and enjoyed it, until recently. Pls fix.

Changed app

App was formerly 5 stars. The latest change to the app is dismal. Whichever rocket scientists thought the changes were a good idea need to be fired. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Unless without a subscription

Maybe if you’re looking for the best delivery price, it’s a good app. Without a subscription, no tasting notes so it’s useless to me. I’m finally done as the subscription is too expensive for the value. Deleted.
