Wine Night
A perfect grown up drinking game (who knew there is such a thing!?). Super easy to set up and so much better than board games! Use any wines you have around (clean out the wine rack), use the label recognition in the app and you are ready to go in minutes. Another great excuse to drink wine and hang out with friends.... and even learn a bit along the way. The wine trivia is great too when no friends around to play with.

Remarkably bad
Several issues with this app. Biggest problems are:
1) You must create an account to play, and signup requires a lot of personal information. It’s not clear why the developer needs this stuff. The app could easily function without user accounts.
2) The game is not fun and isn’t conducive to a social environment. Novice wine drinkers will be guessing randomly unless they want to read through pages of text. This is awkward if not impossible to do if you’re in a social/party environment. The game design could be much more elegant.
Overall, don’t recommend this app until they totally redesign it.

This is the best game! Such a fun addition to a dinner party
Amazing app!
I’ve never rated an app before, but I had to after playing WineGame. This app is so much fun and was a great ice-breaker for a dinner party I hosted. The app is very user-friendly. I was able to easily set up my game by scanning in the wine labels and then getting a code for everyone to access the game. I only wish I could buy pre-made games so that as host I could play too. Everyone loved the game and had an incredible time. We will definitely be playing again soon!

Poor trivia questions
Can’t give this more than a single star due to the fact that a lot of the wine trivia questions are subjective or just flat out incorrect

Listen.. Wine night just got serious!
I love games, wine, my diverse friend group and learning new things (preferably in the least boring way possible). Along comes WineGame! I was not prepared for how great this was going to be. You can tell much time & effort went into creating this app. The graphics are incredible and the beautiful images are not what you expect in a wine tasting game...but exactly what SHOULD be in a great wine game. Navigation through the app is easy/intuitive. The links to Uber & Lyft really stand out as an excellent example of the thought that went into this product. The only very minor criticisms are that I wish the trivia was more fully developed prior to release. Additionally, there were more proofreading errors than I would have liked to see in a released product. Overall, WineGame knocks it out the park!!

Lots of potential - going to give it time.
This app has huge potential if more people start using it, and more wine stores/bars adopt it for their blind tastings. It’s really fun and cool when it works, but there are not enough adopters yet out here in the LA area.
Other than that, a few other fixes:
Quite a few spelling errors throughout the app.
The multiple choice wine education/trivia has a few errors (the correct answer - in reality and as explained by them, is considered the incorrect selection -4 or 5 of those).
Slight wine database errors. Examples: a Rosé being considered a red wine (despite being selected correctly), or multiple entries of the same wine with slightly different names - check out Bonny Doon Le Cigare Blanc (there are ~8 entries for the same wine)
Overall a fun app with huge potential if the user base grows. I’ll try to do my part.

if you don’t know anything about wine, this app is for you. And if you’re a sommelier, this app is also for you
Fun with Friends
My friends and I love wine and games so what’s not to love! We had a blast guessing wines and keeping score. The best part... it’s multiple choice so not intimidating at all.
