Winnipeg Sun app has not updated news since last update last year. Refreshing or redownloading did not work.

Since they did something on the Dec 13/14 weekend nothing updates anymore still the same stories on this app for 5 days

I just down loaded the app and whatever the issues were before, don’t seem to issues now. It works great!

Not sure who you have programming this app. But they are not doing a good job. It freezes often, often does not open the article you choose. It is often completely unusable. I get optimistic when it gets updated hoping this time it’s fixed….well, it’s never fixed. Still the same poor quality app as before.

Opinion Section Glitch
The Opinion section has not been working properly for months.
When you open an article, the page opens twice like it’s redirecting you to a link or source version. Then if you try to backup and open a new article they won’t open. Have to close and reopen the app.
I’ve noticed local articles that are in the Opinion sections don’t have this issue.
No issue w other sections I read such as sports, entertainment or news (unless it’s fed from the opinion section).
Tried emailing them directly using their feedback email link….but email was undeliverable. : ( not surprised

Unreadable
Over the last few weeks it’s been unreadable. It freezes up constantly.

Well you did it again, after an update 4-5 days ago the entire app is locked up. Will not open, or go to any page of any section!

Background App Refresh forced on, Kills battery
Will be deleting app . Like the Sun, but app forces “background app refresh” on, resulting in a fully charged battery at midnight only having a 30% charge by 7:30 in the morning.
Might try reloading some time in the future if I don’t find something good first.
