Driver excellent but app cancelled incorrectly
My Driver This
Morning was excellent but before making that booking by phone I’d made a booking and paid on the app but that booking was cancelled while I was waiting to be collected. I’d already paid too and when I rebooked by phone I was Told it would be refunded and I’d need to pay the new driver directly,
Which I did.
I wouldn’t trust the app again especially if your timings are important.

The driver arrived a few minutes before he was due and he had already sent me a text when he was on his way which was very reassuring. I will definitely use Wintax again!

Nice driver for Heathrow collection
Driver couldn’t find me at Heathrow but he made contact with my wife who had booked the collection. He was very nice and we feel confident that when you book Wintax they can be relied upon.

On time but…..
My taxi was at 4am and the driver was bang on time. From there he wasn’t sure where he was going , charged me more than the fixed rate I’d agreed in hooking and then started to drive off whilst I was still taking my bags out of the boot! Started great but what happened from there let him down sadly

App is terrible
Whenever I try to book a taxi using the app it defaults to the wrong postcode for my address. It doesn’t matter how many times you put the correct address in, it will automatically change the address when you book. Pointless using the app as you then have to phone the office to give the correct address. I’ve reported this several times, but Wintax don’t seem to be bothered.

Excellent communication from the driver and taxi company. Friendly and very pleasant driver. Would recommend.
Rude Driver
The Driver was rude, I was on my way back from my work and it was very dark on my route so I missed seeing turn to my house since there aren't any street lights in sleepers hill. Although I was on phone but my eyes were on the road all the way trying not to miss but as I said it was very dark. The driver rudely told me ‘Madam it happened because you were on your phone’ in a very demeaning manner, I told him my attention was on road but he didn't budge and went quiet
At the end of the day, I dont mind getting extra charged if the driver has to retake a route because I missed it, I am the one getting charged anyways. Nothing gives anyone the audacity to be rude. Please don’t send him again if I book your service. Thanks

Pretty average app
There are no alerts when the taxi arrives. Given that the big apps like Uber invented all the key functionality years ago, there is no reason not to offer similar levels of service. Not shockingly bad but not great for sure.
Won’t let me pay
Says card declined or Apple Pay declined
I have enough money in my account and have done all the approved bits through both the app and on my bank and still won’t work!

Hopeless app
Not easy to use. Difficult to set pick up point as it keeps defaulting to your geographic position. Not helpful when I’m trying to book a collection at Winchester station and it picks my location on the train near Woking. Also difficult to edit my favourite/home address. Keeps defaulting to another address in the area. Also slow to start up.
