Has potential
This game is definitely based on the online game Wizards 101, a phenomenal, family-friendly game. My family has played for many years. The wizardeck has great potentia. You have to gather resources to increase your health and your pickax, which in turn gains you more resources. you increase the power of your spells the more battles you go through. You even increase the power of cells you don’t have any debt.
Unfortunately, you can only hold up to eight cards.
It lacks spell types, i.e., snow, water, fire. You cannot heal yourself mid-battle. You cannot strike at multiple targets at once.

Fun But With Flaws
Such a fun game to mess around with. Sadly because it hasn’t been updated in a while the game can freeze after certain portions. And once you make it to the battle against the level 8’s you cannot progress further. When you beat them at the top of the mountain the game just sits and does nothing. If you just want to run around taking out lower level baddies the game still works for the most part.

Wizard101 + Dreamdale = A Fun Time!
This is such a cute game with clear inspo from Wizard101 and resource gathering games like Dreamdale, which work great in this game!
I had a fun time playing this!
Plus it’s free with no ads, suuuuper rare find in 2024.
Constructive criticism:
1. It would be great if you could choose the player sprite’s gender, like, I wish I could choose whether the character is male or female.
2. Healing spells would be good bc once your health gets low, it’s basically game-over during battle.
3. The Water Shield costs 2 mana and has a 75% success rate, which doesn’t make sense bc the other shield’s don’t cost mana and always succeed, so I think the water shield should be the same.
4. The bouncy “tutorial” widget is stuck on the screen even after I’ve upgraded the pickaxe above level 2.
Otherwise super fun and enjoyable!
