This app has so many adds it makes it hard to use.
Alerts never open the app!
The alerts are a nice feature, but they never open/load the app properly. The app starts to open, but gets stuck. If I close the app and reopen it, I can't find the breaking news. I have to go to the website to find it. I also hate that I can't control the text height in the app. I have my iPhone text size larger than average so I can read text/email easier. This works great in other apps, but this app increases the text size so big that it displays only a couple of words per line. It is like reading sentences word by word off flash cards. The other complaint is all the advertisements. We were without electricity for weeks after the Helene Flooding. I would drive into town for cell coverage and have to watch a bunch of ads (wasting battery & time!) before I could hear any status updates from the Emergency Management News briefs.

New version is terrible
The new version of the app is completely terrible. If I had known how bad it was going to be, I wouldn’t have even updated it. The app used to be great and so user friendly. Now I don’t even get alerts and the radar is awful. With the old app I could easily change my location and check weather in other areas. I would delete it but there are no other local apps in the area. It’s such a shame they have changed it. It was not at all an upgrade. Please bring the old one back.

Update completely ruined a great app
Until this week’s update, this was one of my most-used apps, but with the new update, I am deleting it.
The interactive radar no longer has the useful overlays, and the large location pin hides the radar at the location you want to see. It went from being an app that was a marvel to an apparent throwback to the early 2000s.
I do not understand why they would do this. Surely any new information (closings, etc) could have been integrated into the old app without destroying it completely.
Right now, I am using WCBD Charleston’s weather app, which is the old, good app. At least for now.

Didn’t think it could get worse…
Yeah the old version crashed but this new version is a jumbled mess, good luck finding any info on a news worthy subject on this app. You have to sort through countless ads to read the news article, WJHL why are there no less than 5 ads per page?

Useless
This app is buggy and has been that way for a year now. You can’t read a news article because the app freezes halfway through. This app is currently useless until the bugs are fixed.

It always crashes
I am 23 years old, and enjoy nc11. Nevertheless, the app always crashes. I can never get through all their news before it happens. I have downloaded it multiple time and contacted NC11 about the problem but they offer no solution other than to try downloading it again. Honestly, low quality for the high standards they have.

Always freezes or crashes
Please fix this app. It is constantly freezing or crashing. On the rare opportunity that I can actually read an article, half the time the article is incomplete or covered up my ads.

Buggy on iPhone now
It seems to lockup and not allow you to scroll on iPhone when you go to a story from a notification lately. Really frustrating when you reopen the app and the story is nowhere to be found and the notification is gone. Read lots of half articles lately.

Great app for local news until when you open up the app and click on a story the app then freezes on IPhone.. please fix and I will give 5 stars..
