Inaccurate
I downloaded this thinking it would be better than the weather channel app. I was wrong. This app is WILDLY inaccurate. What’s the point of having a weather app that seldomly provides on point weather predictions? It even differs from what wkyt reports on the news. How does it go from 20% to 100% chance of rain in hours? Pretty frustrating.
The weather notifications come late. I could be struck by lightning and about 5 mins later I’d get an alert that read “Lightning is in your area”.

Not accurate
This app is not accurate for this area I love the way it’s layed out better than most apps but it will be completely different than other apps. Cannot be trusted when trying to farm with the weather

GOAT Weather App
I’ve been rocking with WKYT First Alert Weather since it was downloadable on Windows XP. Can’t go anywhere without it.

I am using this app cause previous one meant for a state below me no longer works for me although it did up until like 2-3 months ago. So this one’s local but it’s not the best. No alert options for lightening. Somehow I get alerts on ai version of ai person talking about something, so turned off all alerts. Last few days was not showing anything on radar not ANYWHERE even when zoomed out to see all of United States. Yet in the 24hpur future it showed like rain or whatever in other states. So deleted and reinstalled. Now works okay but I’m not sure the temps are accurate. Which is so frustrating. I watch a meterologist on YouTube to get up to date info on storms even if my state is not often mentioned it’s more reliable as if I need to prepare or not.

Keeps Getting Worse
Just got alert about upcoming forecast at 11:00 am. Turned on the app for 3 minutes of ads prior to 11:00. It’s 11:03 and still in ads/music mode. Just closed the app. Worthless would be giving undo credit.

Used to be amazing. Now clunky
I loved the WKYT weather app before some of the recent app updates. Now the app is not as functional. I miss be able to have past and future radar on one screen. I don’t want to toggle. Just wanna see. I also want to be able to see the radar and alerts at the same time. I tried to create my own view, but the alerts cover the movement of the weather. I can’t recommend it again until features return back to better functionality

Nothing to see unless it’s a live schedule viewing. I am fine with watching editions from earlier in the day but using iPhone17 nothing ever plays except for the ads that when done just go to a blank screen. Reminds me of the app on firestick. Something has changed and I can’t watch previous newscasts anymore only small little clips? Who wants to do that day in and out. Lex18 has been more transparent and user friendly on both platforms. Shame as I really enjoy the WKYT folk.

Glitching App
App is pretty much unusable 90% of time. As soon as you click on the app it will open and then glitch and go back to home screen within 5 seconds. My app is updated and actually experiences this glitch on multiple devices. I’ve reached out to WKYT Facebook page a year ago and they said they would pass it along to their IT team but the app is still doing it. I love WKYT weather and would love to be able to utilize their app,

Great Weather Information
I really enjoy the great features. The Radar and the updates and hour by hour are really good.
Good, but…
The app is helpful, and I used to appreciate their warnings of weather alerts. Unfortunately now it annoys you every time the show is starting so I’ve had to turn notifications off. I’ll be switching to another app for alerts.

Know you have to have adds. But would like precipitation for area updated more often and correctly.

I enjoy the weather app because I can check the weather any time of day or night. It’s also great for tracking storms.

Don’t trust the radar on this one. Very inaccurate in comparison to TWC.
Don’t rely on this app
This app makes you watch a 20 second ad before you can even watch the alert that was just issued. If someone happened to open it when those 20 seconds mattered I guess WKYT and WYMT wouldn’t mind as long as they get their ad funding!

I want a weather forecast… but am forced to watch irrelevant ads.
