Constantly sending alerts for low quality stories
Was great for years when you’d only get occasional alerts for breaking news or weather, but the latest update alerts your phone for every stupid story possible. It’s completely unnecessary, annoying, & distracting, & there is no way to turn it off. After using this app since it first launched it’s a shame that I’m now forced to delete it & look elsewhere for local or breaking news.

Bigoted and weak.
They refuse to stand against tyranny and they focus only on corporate profits.
Needs landscape mode
I do not use app on iPad due to lack of landscape mode. If current app creator can’t or won’t fix this please find one that can. This lack of functionality is limiting use of app and should be a standard feature of any well made app. Please fix!!

Still no landscape
Two things about this app that made me give it a two star rating. One, it will not go into landscape mode. In 2024, this should not be an issue. Second, the update was released yesterday and today I can’t use the old version. Did you all not learn anything during Hurricane Helene when we had no cell service and unable to download data? Give us a few days to update the app before you cut us off of the old version. Honestly, these two things are enough to make me not bother with WLOS. There are enough other news agencies giving us information that I don’t need this app.

WLOS app easy to navigate
I download many apps, but I have found WLOS after the fairy easy and quick and bringing up when I click to listen to. Our spectrum service which we have is basic doesn’t have my local news which I terribly miss cause that’s the only news I watch other than DAVID, New York worldwide news.
No longer opens
Hangs on landing page. Running iOS 17.5.1 with the latest version of the app.
The app crashes
The wlos13 app crashes every time I open it. This has been going on for at least a week.

Ads! Please stop them!
I can’t even scroll through the news articles without the screen jumping on me because the ads change or pop in! Please stop it!!!!! It becomes stressful to even try to look at the posted articles!
Wlos was better before
The improved version is not as good as the older one. Yes it has more news, just the layout and accessing just isn't the same. More cumbersome and slower. Can’t watch video reports because the commercials don’t close after running and if you touch anywhere on screen, the app crashes.

Have to delete and reload almost every day. I want local news but it’s a challenge.
