Transitioning. Takes too long.
When using the app to get to the station, it takes too long to weed through the commercials in using the app to get to commercials that are on the radio Surely there’s some way of reducing the number of commercials to allow you to get to the heart of the Station.
How to destroy listenership
Bottom line. This app sucks. And every update makes it worse. It’s unstable, stops streaming when changing apps or sleeping the screen, or restarts the ads and then stops streaming. This is far and away the absolute worst app on my phone.
Would I recommend the shows and engaging in the content on WMAL? Absolutely.
Would I recommend the app? Hell no.
Fix it Cumulous! Your mismanagement of this app tells me you want WMAL to fail.

Constantly bummed out listen to more ads than radio time every time you pause it or stop it you have to listen to at least 30 seconds worth of ads the same ads hundreds of times a day

Great content/ annoying glitches and ads
I use the app because my radio reception suffers in my area. When operating properly I get crystal clear reception from the great hosts, however, the app bombards you with ads that interrupt programming and requires stopping and playing the app which begin with even more ads. It’s annoying and distracting for anyone driving , dangerous in fact. Not to mention the quality of some ads like the no smoking ad, or downy ads which could make a saint kick out a stained glass window. Great content but the ad format sucks

Absolutely the Worst Radio Streaming App
There is no joy and only frustration in using this app. Despite having great personalities like Chris Plante, Derek Hunter and Mark Levin, the many interruptions and loss of signal are so frequent that I have given up using the app altogether and have gone back to a good old reliable radio.
The forced pre-roll ads often never seem to stop and multiple ads play over each other. The stream often fails. The final straw for me was often having to listen to back to back Chris Plante ads pitching the “30 plus 9” retirement plan. The ads run a minimum of 30 seconds and there is no provision to skip after 5 seconds.

Great content but app crashes too much
Worst app ever!
So you’re already planning to listen to a radio station that is paid for by advertising but when you bring up the app, you have to listen Even more ads before the app plays the radio station. Then if you get a text and want to read it, the app signs you out and you gotta listen to the ads all over again, get a phone call.. same thing. You have to listen to the ads all over again and oh, by the way, it is the same ads…what a waste!

Too many extra adds
I understand it’s add supported but this adds another layer of adds before you get to the broadcast stream, which also had adds. THEN you pop in the earbuds, resets and starts the adds, walk away from WiFi, freeze reset adds again. Today I got stuck in nothing but adds and gave up! Love WMAL, hate the app!

FuAmazonGreat app…if you like ads
While this app serves the purpose it is designed for, you will need to put up with constant repetition of the same ads…sometimes 5-6 PER HOUR! Since 5 am today, ( now 9 am) I have heard the same Jennifer Garner Capital One ad at least 20 times. I have contacted the station multiple times to let them know how disrespectful this is to their listeners. No response. Monumentally annoying.

If you love commercials you’ll love this app
I opened this app for the first time, and deleted it after 10 minutes os nothing but commercials. I’ll stick to other apps to get wmal.
Obnoxious ads
They include a bunch of obnoxious ads when you start the app. WMAL already makes money on their advertising for their radio content. This is double dipping and obnoxious.
