The on air coverage of the news, sports and the all important weather in the morning is top notch and the cohesiveness of Jessica Gagne, Terry Stackhouse and Ted McInerney is unmatched. A pleasure to watch.
Ridiculous
Why can’t you please be like every other news app and make it so that clicking one push notification does not erase all the rest? Would it kill you? Is it that you don’t understand the inconvenience you cause by doing this?

This app is trash. Type in “snow totals” in the “search” feature and the first thing that shows up is 2017. Nothing at all in the list about 2025 and this happens every time. Pathetic

This is a great app to use every day to check out the weather forecast so thanks so I’ll like to ask it’s pretty annoying for all notifications that pop up on the screen I don’t need them all please don’t put give any more thank you
Bad update
Latest update is very glitchy. Bounces around on the page, keeps reloading. Useless as is.
Crashes too often
App used to be good, now constantly crashes. Recent updates made it even worse. Needs to be resolved!
Continuous Resets
In mid 2024 the sites on all Hearst Media stations keep reverting to the home page unexpectedly when accessing a story. Both WGAL in PA and WMTW in Maine do this.
Sound issues
App will continue to play audio or restart audio after being closed (not force closed, leaving the app normally). In a first for me, last night I was woken up when it randomly started playing an ad long after the app was closed. This was on an iPhone 13 and there was no way to stop it since it didn’t appear in the “now playing” control panel section. It stopped when I force quit the app - it was a pretty easy guess which app was doing it.

Good but
I’m not trying to be rude here but I just read an article about a police chase that ended on I-295 (which it never once said in the article). First it was referred to as the turnpike and then it was referred to as I-290. Twice. The only way I was able to figure out where this actually took place was by them mentioning exit numbers. This is inaccurate information as far as news reporting goes. How is one supposed to take this app seriously like this?
iOS 17.2 and every update since makes the widget have an ugly dark black border. Please fix! Other apps have, you’re perfectly capable of doing so as well. Thank you. Also, if you could make it so that every single push notification from this app does not disappear just because you open the app or click on one of them, that would be fantastic. Really getting sick of that. This is literally the only news app on my phone that does that and it’s infuriating.

Ads giving off bells and sounds
I’m deleting the app. I liked it for local news but now certain game ads give off shrill whistles and sounds. Jumped me the first time it happened. And it doesn’t turn off until the app is closed. News isn’t worth the annoyance. Bye.

Downloaded this app today. Tried to check weather but just saw your “tech tips” segment followed by 8 ads. No weather report, wish I could give zero stars.
Stops working
App stops working. Just keeps trying to download. I’ve deleted it and reloaded then after a while it happens again. Pain

App Notifications No Longer Working
WMTW 8 is our favorite local news station and when I first downloaded the app about 3 years ago, I would get the news updates with the WMTW “theme” song, however, that hasn’t happened for a long time. All the notifications are on according to the app info. I still use the app several times a day. Thanks for all you do!

No IOS Apple Tv access to WMTW.
It’s a shame I have to get my local news from Boston because no one in northern New England offers. Local news on AppleTV. Hard to understand. And misleading.
