WonderVision Games

WonderVision Games is a collection of casual iPad games designed specifically for players with low vision. The games use large targets, high contrast, clear shapes, simple menus, sound cues and optional vibration to make play easier to see, understand and enjoy. There are no countdowns, lives or game-over screens. Players can take their time, miss a target and continue playing. DESIGNED FOR LOW VISION WonderVision was built around the needs of players who may have difficulty seeing the center of the screen, distinguishing similar colors or using small controls. • Large targets and oversized controls • Generous touch areas that help near-misses register • High-contrast Dark and Bright menu themes • Shapes, colors and spoken names used together • Sound and vibration feedback, each of which can be disabled • Simple menus built from large panels rather than small lists COMFORT ZONES During setup, players can mark areas of the screen that are difficult to see. WonderVision then places most game activity outside those areas. Comfort Zones can be changed at any time in Settings. They are a personal display preference, not a vision test, and the selected areas are not used to evaluate the player. PLAY AT YOUR OWN PACE WonderVision does not use countdown timers or speed-based scoring. Missed targets fade away. Incorrectly placed shapes return to their starting point. A fish that escapes simply swims away. Players can continue through the level sequence without being blocked by a required score. SIX GAMES • Peripheral Pop: Tap large glowing shapes. • Balloon Burst: Find and pop oversized balloons. • Shape Sort: Move shapes into their matching spaces. • Fishing: Cast, feel the tug and reel in the fish using visual, sound and vibration cues. • Color Match: Tap the shape named by the game. • Memory Lights: Watch a short pattern and repeat it. Each game includes Free Play and a sequence of guided levels. Free Play has no required objective, while levels provide simple goals and optional stars. Across the six games, WonderVision includes 90 levels. PROGRESS AND AWARDS At the end of a round, players may earn stars, awards or personal-best results. WonderVision includes 24 awards with visible progress toward each one. Optional Game Center achievements and leaderboards are available for players who choose to use them. A Game Center account is not required for normal play. MULTIPLE PLAYERS Several people can use WonderVision on the same iPad. Each player profile keeps its own Comfort Zones, preferences, stars and awards, and profiles can be switched from within the app. PRIVATE BY DESIGN WonderVision does not require a WonderVision account and does not include advertising. The games can be played without an active Internet connection, although optional Apple services such as purchases, Family Sharing and Game Center may require one. WHAT IS INCLUDED Peripheral Pop, Balloon Burst, Shape Sort and Fishing include Free Play and the first three levels at no charge. The one-time Unlock the Six Games purchase provides access to the remaining levels in those four games and adds Color Match and Memory Lights. There is currently no recurring subscription. Family Sharing is supported for eligible purchases and Apple accounts. WonderVision Games is designed for recreation and accessibility.
