About

Binaural beats, made by practitioners for practitioners. “Woo Woo Woo” gives you complete control over your brainwave entrainment practice — with the privacy and simplicity you’d expect from an app built by people who actually use it every day. WHAT YOU GET • Full Precision — Dial in your beat frequency from 0.5 to 40 Hz to reach any brainwave state: Delta for deep sleep, Theta for meditation, Alpha for relaxation, Beta for focus. Carrier tones reach up to 600 Hz, including Solfeggio frequencies. • Wander Mode — Let your settings drift slowly over time. Random mode wanders freely; Ping Pong sweeps back and forth. Ideal for long sessions where a simple static tone may begin to feel stale. • Background Play — Start your session, then switch to music, podcasts, or audiobooks. Your beats keep playing underneath, invisibly. • Custom Presets — Save unlimited settings for any time of day or activity. One tap to load your Focus session, your Meditation session, or your wind-down routine. • Channel Swap — Switch which ear receives the base tone. A small change that can make a surprisingly big difference. • Precise Control Settings — The new interface lets you easily and precisely set Beat and Tone frequencies. • Complete Privacy — No account. No tracking. No internet required. Everything stays on your device. YOUR PRACTICE, YOUR DATA No ads. No subscriptions. No analytics. Woo Woo Woo works entirely offline — because your inner life is your own. ALSO RUNS ON MAC As an added bonus, Woo Woo Woo works on modern Apple Silicon Macs as well as iPhone. BACKGROUND: WHAT ARE BINAURAL BEATS? Your brain operates at different frequencies depending on your state of mind. Focused work: 13–30 Hz. Deep meditation: 4–8 Hz. Deep sleep: 0.5–4 Hz. Binaural beats work by playing two slightly different tones through headphones — 300 Hz in your left ear and 306 Hz in your right, for example. Your brain perceives the 6 Hz difference as a subtle beat, and your brainwaves may naturally begin to follow. First described by Prussian physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove in 1839, binaural beats gained wider attention through the work of researcher Robert Monroe and The Monroe Institute, whose explorations of consciousness — including claims of out-of-body experiences — brought them to a broader audience. They eventually reached us, too. MADE BY MEDITATORS Woo Woo Woo is built by Valley Programming for our own daily practice — focus sessions in the morning, meditation during the day, winding down at night. Presets let us switch between routines instantly. The channel swap feature helps with auditory habituation: when one ear configuration starts to feel less effective, swapping often refreshes the experience. Simple because we wanted simple. Private because we believe your inner life should stay inner. Headphones or earbuds are required for the binaural effect. ABOUT THE NAME The name “Woo Woo Woo” is inspired by the sounds of binaural beats — and by one of our Siberian Huskies, who wanders through the office saying exactly that, many times a day.
