I scanned 4 pieces of furniture and it only identified 50% of the wood correctly. As a professional furniture restorer it can be difficult to identify wood sometimes, but technology can’t do it. This is a skills that requires experience to identify grain, colour, weight, and texture. A photo along is not good enough to identify wood.

Only good for very common wood
I tried 6 different pieces of wood, even giving hints of the county or origin and it was wrong 5/6 times.
Useless App
Got the app , tried it free, seems to be great. Paid for one year subscription , started scanning some wood pieces and started thinking something isn’t right . So I did a test. Took the same piece of wood and took a picture of it 4 times, each time the ap gave me a different result/ name ! each one different than the last ! So one piece of wood got 4 different names , once it was Walnut , then it was Paduk , then it was Cocobolo, then it was dark Walnut it’s all over the place , making it absolutely useless! Save your money and time and move on. Wish I could just get my money back.

Simply doesn’t work anymore. Asks me to sign into Apple ac to restore subscription but doesn’t restore
