Full screen ads repeatedly interrupting play

I've been playing this game for a couple of years. Lately, the game repeatedly stops during play and pops up the message, "LOADING SPONSOR MESSAGE", then goes to a full-screen ad that doesn't always time out. I've had to restart the game many tims because I could get the ad to close!
