A click that follows your song. You asked for a click you can actually practice to — not a metronome you line up by hand, but one that sits in the tune's own time. Switch it on and it counts through the track with you, from the first bar. Front of House. Every volume in one place: the original recording, each separated part, the click and the chord play-along, all on one desk. Slide the real track in against the stems to hear what a part is doing, solo anything, and mute whatever you want to play yourself. Three guitars. The playable neck now comes as nylon, steel-string and electric, each with its own voice — and each string sounds its own note, so a run up the neck is a run and not a chord. Pop or Jazz, chosen per song. Chord detection now asks what kind of tune it's about to read. A worship song was coming back full of sevenths nobody played; pick Pop and it reads the tune in front of it. This replaces the old Simplify setting — how a chart reads is decided when you detect it now, not afterwards. The music keeps playing. Leave WoodShed or lock the screen and the track keeps going, with play, pause and skip where you'd expect them. A song can be in more than one key. Tunes that modulate now read as more than one key, so the numbers stay right after the change. Songs you detected before this need one re-detect to see it. A new shelf for the tools. The metronome, tuner, guitar and Speed Trainer are four printed tickets now — pick one up and go. The small readouts and dials that sat on the old rack are gone; each tool has them inside. Smaller things: chord diagrams number your fingers instead of the intervals now (Settings switches it back), the Library's Add button moved up to the toolbar, markers delete the way they should, and dragging the playhead with Auto-Strum on no longer fires every chord it passes.
