Hammer, Hype

I was a fan of Hammerhead way back in the early das of the internet. When Bram Bos got picked up to make a paid version of Hammerhead I had no idea where to buy it! After that Bram Bos went to mobile apps, that’s the last I hear of him! I was searching on the App Store and noticed it was him, so I bought Woott with the little money I had left and it’s good enough to use. I like it on the buss at -10 and set the buss at -10. No latency! i have twelve running on the busses and there no, zero latency!

Thank you so much for making this available for Intel Macs!

Five stars.

It’s pretty nice

A nice little ott on the go, definitely what you’re looking for if you’re familiar with what ott is in the first place. I did have a question to the dev though, Is there a way to change the distance between upwards and downwards compression per band or that just a bug? Certain presets have different black hole spaces between the up/down bands and I was hoping a pinch feature could be added to push them respectively. I know you can change the ratio but it’s it quite the same. Thanks! Update: thank you for the response! I meant per band though^^

Please add individual squashing!^^^ it’s very important for me

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for the review! You can indeed change the “space” between the upward and downward compressors. Use the “squash” knob for this. Hope that helps!

FAQ

What does WOOTT do?

WOOTT is an Audio Unit plugin that acts as a triple band dynamics processor. It uses both downward and upward compression simultaneously on different frequency bands, along with a dedicated limiter for each band. This allows it to enhance sounds by making loud elements more impactful and bringing out subtle quiet details, resulting in a more massive and aggressive sound.

What are the key features of WOOTT?

Key features include a triple band dynamics algorithm with simultaneous downward and upward compression, a smart soft limiter per band, AUv3 compatibility for use in various hosts like Cubasis and AUM, universal support for iOS and macOS, and multi-output capability. It also offers a mono switch for the low-band signal for tighter bass.

How much does WOOTT cost?

Based on the provided information, WOOTT is a paid application. There are no mentions of in-app purchases or a subscription model, indicating a one-time purchase for the plugin.

What devices is WOOTT compatible with?

WOOTT is universally compatible, meaning it works on all iPads and iPhones that support AUv3 audio effects. It also supports macOS on both Apple Silicon (M series) and Intel processors, allowing for cross-platform use in compatible hosts.

What are some common use cases for WOOTT?

WOOTT is perfect for making average sounds massive, giving aggressive edges to synthesizer filters, and bringing out subtle details in a mix. It's also useful for revitalizing old breakbeat samples, hyping synth lines, and generally making less interesting audio elements more engaging and exciting.
