How do you determine the damage of super attacks?

I saw that when I was playing as Vergil his super attack isn't that super only doing a 300 attack while sukuna sky rockets damage from one super i don't know if it's a glitch on my side but is each super unique to their own person and the damage they do cause I fell like Vergil's super attack should do more(great game besides from this just a little confused is all)
