Depnds on what you need
Export of docx files with footnotes does not produce files with properly executed footnotes. HTML exports the worst, in this regard. It might still be worth having as a utility for opening weird files, but serious conversion, no.
reliable
great app that works very well. Makes it easy to "write" things down when is not convenient or safe to type. As a 69 year old man, I need to get my bright ideas down quick before they fly away!
GREAT APP FOR ME!!
I use this all the time as a journal and as a place to write. I'm a "hunt-and-peck" typist and this app makes it easy for me.
Pretty Handy App!
I try to jot down small moments as I go about my day and when traveling keep a journal. This app works great for the small and the large stories, and I make checklists too.
๐Never fails to me.
The app works very well. Personally I don't like the theme and its colors, but it's a great tool.
excellent but...
No problems converting any documents. However, I wish it was incorporated into TextKraft so I could open directly from the word processor. Other than, flawless.
TERRIBLE !
First docx file error "file type not supported"
???
If it can't do this then it is worthless.

Great App
Great app, glad I finally found you
AWESOME!!!
I was very impressed that it had read and transfer to text of an image that was on a 90 degree angle on a document I was translating.
I didn't expect it but it was a pleasant surprise to realize I had bought such a complete tool.
I've run the same document thru other softwares with OCR capabilities and none had gave me such a great results. Definitely this is a MUST HAVE tool anyone working with document editing should have at hand.

Like it!
One good way to simplify openning pesky .docx files.
Works great
Very simple, just works, I don't know how or what it does under the good but it converts incoming Word files so that I can store them. Very useful.
Not bad, but far from perfect yet
The good: So far the app has been able to convert the actual words of even some of my biggest (100+ page) Word 97 doc files accurately, though, as expected from a txt file, only the barest amount of formatting survives the conversion. (It does put 'bookmark' notations between pages and to mark headers and footers so you can at least recall the gist of your formatting.)
The not so good: Converted text is normal and readable when being edited in their companion apps Textkraft or Easy Writer (both EXTREMELY cool basic WPs!), or even other ipad WPs like Office2, but if you need to take your work back to a PC (via iTunes; didn't try emailing or cloud) to be re-opened and edited in Word (97, in my case; can't speak for later versions), you're out of luck, because, if it does what it did for me, the text is going to be absolutely riddled with nonsense characters that you'll have to manually correct (like any instance of 3-dots, hyphens/dashes, and in some cases the spaces before apostrophes, showing up as a capital A with a hat). In some cases, it even ate the apostrophes altogether, replacing them with multiple blank spaces, though other docs I tried kept most or all of theirs; no rhyme or reason to the results that I could fathom. :-/
Bottom line, kudos to them for getting any ipad app to so very accurately decrypt the prose of an MS Word doc, especially one as old as the '97 variety, but until they can make it understand ALL the same punctuation possibilities that even something as bare-bones as Notepad can handle (and yes, those mutated txt files looked perfectly fine in Notepad), I can only give it 3 stars.

Works great
I'm really happy with this tool!
Fails to open .docx
Failed to open .docx from my e mail. Paper due for school so once again ill have to go to my library to finish my paper.
Good converter
Accesses and receives DOC files. I use it to convert those which are strictly text. IAWriter doesn't accept the output gracefully. Try a back door through Dropbox.
Over all, I am frustrated with the Apple way of walling off iCloud. Plus finding an app or two which will reliably read/open and edit the various text file formats. Seems the choices are limited to either TXT or PDF.
GEEZ.

Stupid
This is the dumbest app ever. Do not buy it. It's worthless. You can't even edit a document. I want my money back.
Word to text
Good app
