Great for scrabble and banana grams!

Great for Q-Less®️

I find Word Checker very useful for the solitaire crossword dice game Q-Less that is getting popular. I like this app best bc it’s isn’t specific to the word scores we have in Scrabble, and the programmable anagram function is extremely useful in determining if a Q-Less roll is solvable or not. If anyone reading this hasn’t checked out Q-Less yet, give it a whirl, in conjunction with this awesome app. (I’m addicted)

FAQ

What does the Word Checker app do?

This app helps Scrabble players by allowing them to check if a word is valid according to official Scrabble dictionaries. It also functions as a word finder, helping users unscramble letters to discover anagrams and find words with specific letter combinations.

What dictionaries are supported by the app?

The app supports two major official Scrabble word lists: the NASPA Word List (NWL18), used in the USA, Canada, and Thailand, and the Collins 2019 (CSW19) word list, which is used internationally. Users can choose which dictionary to use for their word checks.

How can I find anagrams or new words using this app?

The app features a 'Word finder' tool that allows you to unscramble letters to find anagrams. You can also search with blank tiles and fix letters in certain locations to discover words that fit specific patterns. The app will also show you the point totals for the words it finds.

Can I create my own word lists?

Yes, the app allows you to create custom word lists. This is useful for practicing specific word types, such as all words starting with 'Q' not followed by 'U'. You can filter these custom lists with up to seven constraints, including length, starting letters, and ending letters.

Is this app free to use?

The app is free to download and use, but it does contain advertisements and offers in-app purchases. These purchases likely provide access to additional features or remove ads, enhancing the user experience for dedicated players.
