About

Word Drawn Near is a way to go deeper into scripture together, week by week. It is the app of the How to Read the Bible class: each week's study is in it, with the week's passages as short illustrated films, read aloud, and the questions your group will talk over, with a place to write your answer. Open the app and the weeks are there, the newest first. Tap this week, then swipe up on its cover to begin. A short opening sets up the reading. Then each passage plays as its own film, with the words on the screen as they are read. Turn your phone sideways for the wide films. When the passages end, the week's discussion questions follow, one at a time, each with pictures from the films and the verses it points to. IN EACH WEEK - The week's reading, introduced - Every passage as a short illustrated film, read aloud, with its words on the screen - The discussion questions, one at a time, with pictures from the films - A place to write your answer as you go - What to read on your own before the next class ALSO IN THE APP - The earlier weeks, to go back to - Study, which takes you to the class's current week - Share, which sends the study you are on to someone in your group There is no account and no sign-in. A new week appears as the class reaches it. The films and the reading stream from the internet, so watching and listening need a connection.
