Absolutely fine.

A nice mid-tier word puzzle game. I love the lack of time limit, not having the standard star rating to judge how you did, and having free hints. Makes the experience relaxing (which is a good thing) and casual. I’ll probably continue playing to some degree because of those strengths. But at the same time I find the puzzles and the mechanic for solving them lackluster. The photos that serve as clues for each puzzle are very sterile. Strong stock photo energy, if you know what I mean. Finding the words relating to the photo is just kinda ok. Most of the time there’s one of two outcomes: I spot the word fairly quickly, string it together, and move to the next. Or I don’t spot the word and spend ages staring at the options before finally getting a hint and, then, spotting the word quickly and moving on. And I think the problem is there’s only ever one word to find at a time. You find it, more letters show up on the screen for the next word. As such, when you stall, there’s no way to put the word aside and work on something else. It’s either find that word or stop playing. It’s just not a puzzle loop I find engaging.

# 5 Star Review

This game is one of my go to games when I am bored. It is challenging and all the puzzles are really great. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this game if you like word challenges. World laces Is super fun and isn’t just a trash game. This game makes me very happy. Totally love this game! Try it! I think you will totally love I I!

It’s… okay

It’s not a bad app, it’s just boring. I gave it 2 stars because it’s not awful. But I don’t like it. I am, however, glad other people like it. And as some other people said, it’s similar to other word games but without ads. I just thought it would be more challenging. I think it would be suitable for kids or anyone who prefers to “zone out” without much thinking (such as my mother).

So Close…

I LOVE this game—been playing it every day since it’s inception—but there are two things I wish would’ve finally been resolved with this latest update.

First, implementing landscape mode on iPad. Next, on tv—with the second gen Siri Remote—using the arrow keys around the touch sensor registers as a button press instead of navigating the home and menu screens. It’s a bit annoying when wanting to select the Daily Puzzle (on the main screen) and instead taken to the “main” game; on the in-game menu screen, it will automatically select the ‘hint’ button, when I’m actually trying to exit the game.

Hopefully, these things will be corrected in the next update.

*And, I’m assuming this is a bug, but there was an update last week (July 6) that brought 100 new puzzles to the main game… but only to the tvOS; the iOS and iPadOS versions still show last update “8 months ago.”

Needs a little bit more detail

I like this game and some puzzles are challenging. What I would like to see different is the progress bar stay on the screen during the whole game instead of appearing and filling and then disappearing only when a word is completed. In other words, the progress bar will be on the screen where it always has been, but instead of appearing and filling and disappearing, it will be on the screen empty when each puzzle starts and fill as the words are completed for the entire duration of the puzzle until it is completed. This is why I rate it four out of five stars. Thanks for a fun and sometimes challenging game to pass time. Keep up the good work. I look forward to new updates in the future.

BEST GAME EVER

I absolutely love word laces! It’s got the same challenge level as any other word game basically, but NO ADS!! When you unlock shoe boxes, it gives you skins at random, so you can compare with your friends! There are free hints, and you get them right away- no wasting coins, money, stars, or having to watch an ad! It’s just challenging enough that it’s not just “spell dog” but not so challenging that it’s frustrating. It gradually gets harder as you go through levels, too! The only thing I’d say I’d fix is that there’s only 1,300 levels. Yes, that sounds like a lot, but I’ve had the app for a week and I’m on level 200. But overall, this is probably the best deal and my favorite word game I’ve ever gotten! Actually, it’s probably one of my favorite games I’ve ever gotten! I play when I’m bored, when I’m not, and any time in between! This is one of the best games I’ve ever gotten and I recommend for sure!!

It’s alright

The concept is cool and I like collecting new laces, but the actual gameplay can be frustrating. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of logic behind some of the words they try to get you to make. Sometimes it takes me a really long time to get a word, and then when I get it, I’m like “huh ok, I guess that kind of makes sense…” On the flip side, it seems like a lot of the words are just really, really obvious and easy. So there isn’t a lot of challenge in the game, but when there is, it comes from being confused and guessing. If I want to play something similar to this I usually play the secret word mode on Wordle. It doesn’t have pictures but the words make more sense and it’s more challenging in a good way.

Too easy

I was looking for a fast, challenging word game to play on Apple Arcade but this clearly isn’t it. Ok, if you like easy, slow paced games and aren’t a great speller, then this could totally be for you. But unlike me, I want a challenge! I’m suggesting you can pick you level or where your at in spelling. That way, it’ll fun for everyone! 1 is easy words like dog and cat. 2 is harder words like hairpin and animal. 3 can be even harder with Oklahoma and chocolate. Then 4, the hardest of all, can have words as big as certificate, leprechauns, concluding, and more!

It’s kinda calming

The game is a bit between calming and frustrating but other than that I really like it, although I do use a lot of hints and I’m really happy that it’s on Apple Arcade.

AMAZING GAME!!!

This game is AWESOME. At least in my experience. I luv how relaxing the game is. It is really fun. This high-quality video game is is addictive and fun.
This is highly recommended by me.

P.S. My experience with the game may be different from yours if u play this beautiful game

No depth or meaningful challenge

I’ll admit I stopped playing after the first hundred words or so (and a poke around the sparse menus to see if I were missing something) and that there may be hidden depths later in the game, but from what I saw the “gameplay” doesn’t offer any more challenge or engagement on your 100th (and probably 1,000th and 10,000th) word than it does on your first word. There is literally only one acceptable word at a given point in the game’s sequence, it is always a word representing the image on screen—if I were playing via keyboard, this would at least make sense as a typing-practice game; instead it’s little more than a grade-school spelling quiz. If you liked looking at a picture of a bird and spelling ‘bird’ in the tutorial and want to keep repeating that action, I say have at it. For adult fans of word-based puzzle gameplay, look elsewhere.

Why I like this app

I like this app because it helps people Wright and learn more about what and how to spell and it’s really calming down because of the music and I like it.

The best word game ever

I will start of with the fact that I love the free hints no other word game that I’ve played has free and unlimited hints thx you so much

The puzzles are not to easy and to are not to challenging thxz (thanks)

I love the pictures some are cartoons and others are real pictures

It’s a relaxing game It doesn’t make you want to throw your iPhone at the wall 😂 like other word games

It might stress you out but the hints are free and unlimited so stress no more

The shoes are a funny and cute idea

I would recommend this game for you if you like word games it is enjoyable and challenging a great game for me and perhaps you

Review

I think that this game is very fun and very good for your mind. I do think that you should have to earn your hints instead of being able to just have them there for free use. Or else this game is very fun and stimulating.

Arcade could use a lot more like this!

This is a very solid casual word game. I wish there were more word games in Apple Arcade and I wish word games was a separate category to make them easy to find.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really am enjoying this game! I have been looking for a fun puzzle word game like I see in so many ads for a long time! The drawback to all of those are the ads after every level, and every hint locked away with a pop up to purchase more. I usually quit playing those after making it to level 5...😖.

However, because it’s on Apple Arcade, what this means is:
No Ads,
Hints with no paywall
Playing to my hearts content!

I am so grateful that whenever I need help, the hints are right there, not locked behind a paywall or on a timer to get a “free” hint that’s actually unhelpful. I’m amazed at how puzzles are available; over 1000 puzzles and I hope there will be more in the future!

Thank you for making such a fun and easy to use puzzle game I can play anywhere! 😊

TL;DR If you want a fun Word Puzzle game without worrying about getting stuck and losing interest this is the one for you!

I LOVE IT, NO IMPROVEMENTS, JUST KEEP WHAT YOU‘RE DOING

Hi! I played this game for a few minutes and I am instantly in love with this! I love the way it is not just fun, it is also fun to learn! So now, every night before I go to bed, this is my studying app that I play to guess, and maybe even LEARN new words! So thank you🙏🏾 thank you for making such a fun app.

Fun, but a little lackluster

While this is a fun and unique little word puzzle game, a lot of the words associated with the image seem to have just been pulled from a synonym dictionary. This game also suffers from hyperbole, where they might show a picture of burnt toast and one of the associated words is tragedy. Another example is a picture of a man losing a trophy and the words associated are catastrophe and disaster. While these are technically correct, they are a bit exaggerated and don’t ultimately fit the theme of the picture and come across as out of touch.

Wow!

This app is so much fun! No matter how much I play it, it always gets rid of my boredom. It not only is fun, it is also slightly educational. It can help with spelling, and each picture has a fast after it. (Or a joke just for fun.) I love how it has infinite hints, so no matter how hard it gets, you can have automatic help.
