About
WordCorder - where the Hanja you meet while reading stays with you.
Read the news, scroll a blog, skim a doc - just like always. The Korean body stays untouched, and Hanja quietly appears as small badges right beside the words. Tap a badge and its reading, meaning, and grade unfold inline. Each time the same character reappears across articles, it settles into memory on its own - without you ever opening a flashcard.
=== Common struggles, solved ===
· The Hanja book you never open - No book to crack open. The Hanja comes to you in the pages you already read.
· Memorizing without context - You meet Hanja inside real sentences, so the meaning and sound stay together.
· No time to study - No study time needed. Your reading time is when you meet Hanja.
=== How it works ===
1. Open any Korean page in Safari. Hanja badges automatically appear next to selected words.
2. Tap a badge to expand:
· reading · meaning · grade · other words that share the same character
3. Use "I know this" / "Show more often" to control exposure frequency. A character you mark as known is never injected again.
4. The more you read, the more familiar each Hanja becomes.
=== Key features ===
· Hanja grade slider - 8 tiers (H8~H1). Use the "Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced / All" presets for one-tap setup.
· Four intensity levels - Light / Balanced / Focused / Immersive. From subtle hints that barely touch the text to active, frequent exposure.
· Two display modes
· Inline (default) - original text stays, badges appear next to it.
· Replace - the word itself is swapped; hover to peek at the original.
· Adaptive emphasis - background tint and weight auto-adjust to match each page.
· "I know this" auto-exclude - Hanja you've grown familiar with leave only a small check mark and stop appearing.
· Japanese injection (experimental, Pro) - grow familiar with Japanese beyond Hanja.
· English injection (experimental, Pro) - for those who also want vocabulary exposure on English pages.
=== Best for ===
· People who read a lot of Korean - news, blogs, docs.
· Anyone whose Hanja-test workbook never made it past day three.
· Anyone who wants Hanja steadily by their side without setting time aside.
* If you prefer hand-curating your own Hanja list, WordCorder works a little differently than what you may be used to.

What's New in WordCorder
1.1.11
August 31, 2026
The Pro plan now shows many more words that share the same character. Fixed the upgrade notice showing a count that didn't match what you could actually see. Signing in or out in another tab now updates the popup right away.
