Simple, easy and free (4 words 27 chars 3 spaces)
In a sentence... copy and past your stuff onto the app and it counts words, characters, spaces and newlines. Really simple, no frills and other than ads at the top it’s free and *nothing hidden (as at 1May20). Sadly there are few”free” apps that are useful - this is one.
**Note to developer - it’s awkward to do a review like this as you have to search for the app again in AppStore.... why not include a “review here” button next to, or just pressing Done Editing. You should get some constructive feedback and suggestions... WELL DONE! (97 words, 538 characters and 96 spaces)

Very Handy!
There are many use cases for this simple but essential app. Lately I’ve been using it to pre-draft tweets for Twitter.
I would love it if in addition to giving us the counts for the full page, the app could give us counts for any selected portion of the page.

Stressed me out
This app was great until you lose 15 pages of work. If your phone crashes or you accidentally close the app. Which is stupid because your work from weeks before will still be there when you open it up but if you close it and open it 2 seconds later it’s all gone. I wish they had a pop up that says “are you sure you want to erase” or something before it just deletes everything. Have a huge paper due in a couple of days and o had about half of it done here but now have to start all over. Wouldn’t recommended this if you’re not gonna be copying and pasting it to a safer place every once in a while.

Very useful app. Ad support was not intrusive to its usefulness. Please update to 64 bit so it can run on iOS 11.

As a professional writer, both writing and word counts are essential on-the-go. This app makes typing/writing/entering text as simple as drafting a text message, with no complicated pull down menus or weird font size/interface. Thank you for a very simple free app that counts characters. At one point, it saved my text for several months in its own buffer. But I don't think it counts on anything like that. Well you can count on it, but don't rely on it. LOL! :-)
I also rely on it stripping all the ugly, excess HTML formatting if I copy and paste something from a webpage. This is a really nice feature, since the notes app no longer strips HTML.

It does what I need it to do and works well
Well, it kind of does its function...
Not so impressed...it consistently overestimates the word count. Not by much, granted, a few words - but you would hope such a basic task would be precise. There is another free word-counting app in the Store that is accurate.
App is great, simple, and does it's job
This app is great. For essays I have to write for school, I usually have to check to make sure I fall within the word limit. BUT!!! Make sure you do not use it to write your documents in it or else you risk losing your work. Almost always after some period of time typing, ALL of the text gets erased. SO, only use it to copy and paste to see the word count and you should be fine.

I use this app because I often do school work on my iPads word app and that does not have a word count. This is a very simple, easy to use app that quickly tells me my word count. Highly recommend

You can't paste in it so it's pretty much useless
HTML problems
I'm using this app because the Google Docs app doesn't tell me word count. I'm copying and pasting my work directly from the app because I know others have had problems with their work being deleted while using the app. My problem is, this app doesn't absorb the HTML from Google Docs and instead displays them as if they were words. This is greatly affecting my word count.
