Best spelling game!
Best spelling game I have ever found. I really started liking it when I found the New Puzzle button. I only kept my New York Times subscription so that I could play Spelling Bee.
Excellent word game - update
This was a great game. However, the latest upgrade is a great disappointment.
I preferred it when the found and unfound words were listed separately after completing each day’s game.
Also, I’m disappointed that you removed the definitions. One of the benefits of the game was learning new words.
Please reconsider returning those attributes.

First 2 Letter Hint List Missing
I can’t get the first 2 letter hint list to display. The light bulb isnt there. I even subscribed to the game to see if it would reappear after subbing and still no dice. Help me out here because even deleting and reinstalling the app didn’t work.

Thank you for your review. Wordish supports Dynamic Type (Accessibility > Display & Text Size). When larger text sizes are selected, interface elements like text, buttons, and symbols scale up accordingly. This can result in insufficient space to display both the found words list and the two-letter hints row at the same time.

The response when you get a wrong word is irritating to say the least, not funny and not necessary

Update detracts from a great game
I loved this game! It’s great if you enjoy word puzzles or are hooked on NYT spelling bee. But the most recent update has led to some weird glitches. The puzzles from one day to the next are getting jumbled together…in fact a person gets bumped from a daily puzzle with no explanation.

Brilliant game!
Play every day on the train to and from work. Well thought-out game. Some puzzles are quite challenging, most are tough, a few easy(ish) - keeps it fresh. I love that I can look up words I didn’t find. The hints make all the difference. A couple of updates ago seemed to have bugs, but all is good in Wordish land now. Good job!

Crashed app :(
Hi! I love your app, but it has stopped working for me. Maybe since the last update. I get a black screen only. Help!
Suddenly stopped working
Loved the app, but now it just doesn’t work, can’t even open it. Just gives a white screen then shuts down of its own accord, like for some of the other reviewers. Hope you get this sorted, have missed it over the last three weeks.
Screen now frozen since app update
Really enjoy the game on a daily basis. However since the update, I either just get a white screen or the previous time I played but in a frozen state. Hope it can be fixed soon.

I love this game and would play every day but since the app updated I can’t play. It’s stuck on the game I was playing before it updated. Have tried everything to get it working again. Really frustrated. I just want to play!
Update buggy
Since the new update, it freezes at Home Screen. Have to continuously force close and open to try and play. Won’t let me open up any puzzles. Keeps asking me to subscribe.

Love the Game!
I love the game and have been playing it daily for months. The letter grid is great—I’ve had to track that myself in other apps, so the feature is appreciated. I also love the list of the first two letters with quantities. Once I’ve found all I can think of, those hints usually get through the remaining words.
I had to re-download the app today and the list of the first two letters with quantities seems to be missing. Is that a bug with the new version?
All in all, it’s a great app and thoughtfully developed.

Good…but
A good, well designed game that passes the time. Some days are far more challenging than others, which I also like. However, there does seem to be an occasional bug, where your new day starts with all of the previous days words - on a new grid. After entering a handful of new words the game “completes” and locks out till a new word grid. Mine has just done this for the 2nd day in a row

Great game but needs a better player experience
I enjoy playing this game but a few points:
I wish you could have more say when it comes to game difficulty or word list settings. The word list is really difficult - I always miss a good portion of the words and it’ll be things like “Brrr” (how does that count?), the last name of a Scottish-born US naturalist from 1892?? (Muir) or a small type of buffalo only found in a certain place in the Philippines (Tamarau). Unless you are walking encyclopedia, a literary genius or “cheating” and looking words up while playing - you’re not getting to champ level.
The app also gives a whole lot of information and statistics about past game play but not much of the information given is useful. For example, it’ll tell you the puzzle id number and the time of day you played past puzzles, but you can’t even see the actual puzzles (the letters you were working with) or the any of the words found or missed.
Lastly, I have no idea how to read the letter grid and would have appreciated some instructions there.

Nice to have challenging daily word game at last.
Notes to publisher: The bulb doesn’t switch view, you have to long double click the app to open the word list. The word True has not registered several times

Fun game but like… cool jt with the pop-up snark
It’s a fun game and the daily puzzle format keeps jt from sucking too much of your time. But I would take TWO WHOLE stars off because you can’t turn off the feedback that pops up every time you enter an answer. It gets old really fast and TBH it’s a little mean! For example, “wins the wooden spoon”? I’m sorry is this app… threatening to beat me?? It’s downright bizarre.
