Dictionary is lacking

The game is very fun, but the fun often comes crashing down when met with the poor dictionary used, along with its censoring of various words. The game starts to become less about making a word and more about anticipating whether the word will be accepted. A built in method of submitting words for review and possible addition would help.

Yesterday, the game refused the word “bondage” which appears over 30 times in the King James Bible. But apparently that’s too sexual for the developers.

Fonts suggestion

I am obsessed… trying to get used to playing looking up and down vs letters being horizontal… but besides that… I’ve confused the I (i) with the l ( see even here !!! ) and messed up so many words!!! Please add other font choices!

The Real Opponent

It becomes obvious that you will not receive the letters you desperately need in order to complete a high-scoring word, because your real opponent is the programming that punishes you for creating a high scoring multi-letter word before you are required to do so. For example, if you simply need a “g” to complete “repeating”, you will receive multiple “I”s but no “g”. That’s fine, and it becomes the strategy to not reveal your intentions too early, but it’s just not my cup of meat.

Great Time Sink

And to think, my vocabulary increases proportional to my frustration.

🫤

It’s fun and what I payed for (not really, it’s free) but gets boring. Wish it had more to it.

Settings? How turn off sound?

Settings? Where are the settings? The sounds are annoying, and I could not find a way to turn off the sound with this app. Also game seems very boring,

Really hard

Fun unique game

Fun unique game for those who enjoy word games.

Carrect me if I’m wrong here.

Word games dealing with the English language should be accurate and carrect. If they aren’t then what’s the point?

Just one thing

An entertaining game that would be enhanced by the inclusion of an undo button. The number of times things have been going swimmingly only for me to accidentally add the wrong letter to a word that I’m trying to build. I do suffer from ‘sausage fingers’ like our king, Charles III (God save him!) and including such an option, even if it was limited to prevent shenanigans, would eleviate unnecessary frustration.

What happened to the daily challenge results?

Great update to one of my favorite games - but the daily challenge rankings only show the current day. Yesterday I was in the top spot, but I don’t know if I ended up at #1 or slipped. Why did that go away?

For the daily challenge, it would really be really cool to see what the top word was from the previous day, that’s what we’re here for -to learn, right?

Great word game

I was completely addicted to WiP for a long time and only recently lost interest. It provided many hours of entertainment and brain stimulation. 😊

AWESOME but something is inappropriate

It’s cuss words we need to get them out of the game but otherwise T’S AWESOME

Worker great until it didn’t

Loved this game. Played it for months, now it won’t get past the opening screen. I’ve deleted it and redownloaded it several times. Still broken. Downloaded a different arcade game and it’s working just fine. Not sure what’s wrong with this one.

words in progress

this game is brilliant for kids who are under the age of 20. but not for children who are under the age 4. thi is a good game, because you can make lots and lots of different words using the tiles you are given. I recommend people to play this game, because it is a lot of fun and laughter.

Can’t shut the musac off!

Awful

Makes no sense.

Confusing and even in the tutorial, it doesn’t make any sense in what order letters combine in. Frustrating experience not worth the time.

Letters won’t move

I love this game. I constantly play it. It jerks mt brain smart, until the letters refuse to stay moved next to each other.,They automatically jump back in the vertices line the minute they are selected. I think I’ll delete it

Addicting! Let me learn though

I love this game, I play several times a day. It’s a quick easy break when I need to reset my brain. Two improvements I would love to see;
-I would like to see who I am playing against. After playing a hundreds of games I tend to have the same opponents, but I can’t see who I’m playing until the game is over or unless I force quit and restart.

For the daily challenge, it would really be really cool to see what the top word was from the previous day, that’s what we’re here for -to learn, right?

Response from developer

Hi! Thank you for your newly edited review. Some good input again! I'll briefly address your points: 1. You can see who you are playing against in the overview within the Multiplayer screen, but that does require you to go back to that specific screen, which might not be ideal while you are currently in a game. I'll add your suggestion to our player input sheet. 2. We have received lots of good player requests to improve the Daily Challenge and yours is also appreciated. We are currently mapping out if and how we want to improve the Daily Challenge and I will take your feedback into account as well. We are currently working hard on something totally different for Words in Progress though, so the Daily (unfortunately) has to wait a bit. So stay tuned for the upcoming months! Thank you again for your longtime support! Cheers!
