Don’t pay for the audio version - it doesn’t work
The app is great but don’t waste your money actually paying for the audio version. It just gives me a message saying my sound is off and I need to turn off silent mode. My sound is not off and silent mode is not on. I contacted the developer and they just repeated the same words that were in the error message. I asked for my money back and they said they couldn’t do that and I had to contact Apple directly but I have no idea how. I don’t like having my money stolen from me by someone claiming to provide a service that they cannot provide.

Good app but not fully compatible with voiceover
I love this free app that I proceed to buy the version with audio pronunciation, only to find the compatibility with voiceover is not impressive, especially the pronunciation section and the setting. If this areas are fixed, it will be flawless.

I found this to be the best one. Precise pronunciations with audio. Even includes accents. A must have.
Best dictionary app!
This is the best dictionary app for multiple reasons; I will give you three- pronunciation guide without diacritics, simple interface without word of the day and other nonsense, audio pronunciation in US and UK English.
Perfect for me.
I needed a simple to use app to pronounce difficult words. Found it with this, absolutely perfect. Very quick word search on my I phone and many English accent pronunciations rather than American accent pronunciations.

No Spelling, same as the dictionary!!
I don’t understand why is not working, but I bought the app in order to add the audio version and hear the words how they spell it right. Is not functioning and is very disappointing. When first try to use it I thought maybe you are working on it. Is been now 3 weeks and nothing has changed.

Good App.serves the Purpose
This is a good app, certainly needs an improvement but serves the purpose. Should include Thesauruses as well within the word search to make it a comprehensive solution.

It does include synonyms and related words (as a thesaurus). Use Search instead of Lookup to search for a word matching a pattern.
No sound in the app at all
Pronunciation buttons don’t work! All sound settings checked, other apps work properly, but this one is silent.
Can't play audio anymore?
Bin auf dem aktuelle iOS 11.4 und kann mir keine Aussprache anhören. Angeblich sei das iPad auf lautlos gestellt, ist es aber nicht.

Your app is definitely awesome but I have a suggestion:
If you could merge all these dictionaries(chambers thesaurus, chambers dic and wordweb) into one one solid app, would be lot better, because switching between these apps are a little frustrating.

best dic app ever
No Sound!
I bought this app so I could hear the pronunciation of words but there is no sound. It tells me to turn off silent mode but this is already done and the volume is turned up! What is going on? If this cannot be fixed I would like my money back!

Die App ist super, gute Erklärungen und Beispiele. In einem Artikel kann man auf ein unbekanntes Wort gedrückt halten und die App springt in die entsprechende Bedeutung. Die jeweiligen Synonyme, Antonyme sowie ggf. Verben, Substantive oder Adjektive sind auch aufdeführt. Sehr gelungen!
Best e-dictionary
Used it originally on my PC, then bought the iPhone version. The dictionary with audio is very useful and searching is straight forward. I like the feature that any word in an entry can be searched too, which is very convenient. All in all, this is the best English dictionary I've ever found from Apple App Store. Highly recommended!
