World Alphabet

World Alphabet teaches the English alphabet to children aged four to eight, one letter at a time, in short sessions. The interface speaks Polish by default and can be switched to English at any moment, while the letters, example words and pronunciation are always English. EVERY DAY, ONE LETTER • A Letter of the Day chosen by the server, so every child using the app works on the same letter that day • Three steps per letter: listen to the letter and its example word, trace the shapes, answer one check question • Each step pays one star, and three stars turn the letter red in the alphabet grid • Uppercase and lowercase glyphs are tappable and spoken with the on-device speech synthesizer • Guided dotted stroke tracing with coverage feedback and a finger hint after three attempts THE WHOLE ALPHABET IN VIEW • A grid of all twenty-six letters with stars earned per letter • Filters for vowels and consonants, sorting A to Z or least practised first • A mastery bar showing how many of the twenty-six letters are done • Any letter can be reset by a parent THREE MINI-GAMES • Letter Pairs — match capital and small letters on a memory board, scored by moves • Letter Quiz — ten questions against the clock from a deck of sixty, refreshed from the server • Letter Tap — tap only the letter that is announced, forty-five seconds per round • Games unlock at 3, 6 and 12 stars and award stars of their own PROGRESS THAT ADDS UP • Stars per day bar chart over the last fourteen days with an average line • Streak counter and an alphabet heat row of all twenty-six letters • Six achievements: First Star, Five Letters, All Vowels, All Consonants, Seven Day Streak, Full Alphabet • Best scores and a list of recent game results • Global leaderboards for each game, this week and all time, with your own row highlighted • World figures: learners today, letters mastered today, stars earned today WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET • All twenty-six letters, example words, stroke guides and a starter deck of sixty quiz questions ship inside the app • Everything the child does is written to the device first • With no connection the Letter of the Day falls back to a local rotation and leaderboards show their last snapshot • Uploads queue in order and drain when a request succeeds NO ACCOUNTS • No sign-in, no password, no email • An anonymous device code is created on first launch and is the only identity the server sees • The child's photo never leaves the device • Only the device code, display name, scores and letter progress are backed up PARENT CONTROLS • Interface language: Polish or English, switched instantly • Sounds toggle, three speech speeds, haptics toggle • Show or hide the translated example word • Choose whether capital or small letters appear first • Reset all progress after a typed confirmation World Alphabet is built for five-minute sessions on a phone or iPad screen: one letter, three stars, and a visible record of the alphabet filling up week by week.
