This was a nice app, however, it’s not being kept updated — not working on iOS 12.3.1 ?

Also, please give us a setting to turn off the automatic playing of music on entries! Many country blurbs start by blaring out their anthems -- it's startling, makes one jump, and disturbs others!

Great, but...
I really wish the app developer would update it, because I want to use it with iOS 11. The app needs to be updated so that it can be compatible with iOS 11. Other than that, it is a really informative and cool app.

Hire a new history research team. Most of these are seriously boring.
Few events
Most of the items were who was born on this day which is an easy find on Wikipedia. It is also pretty USA centric which means mostly history from the last 400 years. Pretty narrow IMO.

Great, but they make some weird choices on who to celebrate
First count against them: skeuomorphism. Blech. Second count: they chose a goddamn furniture designer's birthday for July 3 instead of the birthday of Franz Kafka. Who the hell outside of design school has heard of Robert Adams? Franz Kafka was a legendary writer whose name has become synonymous with a special kind of surrealism. What the hell is Robert Adams known for? Making furniture. You tell me who is more deserving of recognition.
