Fix slide bar

Slide bar seems to be hard to press and changes app page instead of sliding through years. Overall good app

Erasing World History in the name of World History

My hope was merely a reliable and objective source. This isn’t it.
Many glaring errors, (like major bodies of water, actual names of nations, etc., reveal that special blend of raw ignorance and cultural bias. Whose bias? Just look at the map and see if it doesn’t scream out at you the national perspective of the 5th rate brain(s) that cranked this out.
That presumes you, like me, let them sucker you into spending money on this. Ridiculous that they charge you for maps unworthy of grade schoolers.
Is it any wonder we live in a dangerous world beginning with the simple inability to correctly identify nations and features.

Very Low Res

The map looks terrible, especially zoomed in. If you expect to see Sumeria’s cities, look for a different map. For 5 bucks it isn’t bad. However your description regarding detail is highly misleading, earning you one star.

Some years are not correct

Can you add real history plss

Great idea, but...

... unfortunately close to useless for anyone with a halfway serious interest in history or geography.
Example: Africa, 1907. Most of Westafrica is just a huge lilac blob labled "French". Yes. Seriously. Clicking e.g. for further information somewhere around where French Guinea might be, gives you: "French. French Colony. 1904 to 1960." Clicking the huge pink blob that ought to be Cape Colony/South Africa, but only reads "British" results in the detailed information that this is "British. British Colony. 1806 to 1910)". Great. So I have finally found a map even more stupid than me about geography. Thanks.
I guess it is kind of amusing to skip forwards and see empires spread and shrink over time, but that is hardly worth spending 5,99Euros.

Bruh how did u do this

This is insane.. it works perfectly and it’s nuts how u got the data! 5 stars still amazed

Rip off

What a rip off . Does show how borders and territories changed by the years by the sliding bar , but when you click on to a country it takes you to the free Wikipedia page. When you follow the instructions to zoom in on the map you get nothing. No cities, geographical information, nothing. Please don’t even consider this crap. And if this is an example of the other two map apps they offer skip them also

Stopped working

I thought it was a great little App but it doesn’t work anymore. I just get a blank screen instead of the map.

saw a glitch

I SAW A GLITCH! FROM 1860 TO 1880 😫😫

Hats off ... brilliant

A must buy for any history student or in general.
Awesome work

Audit Needed

I would suggest that an audit be done as you are missing the accession of Alexander the Great as well as the empire he built afterwards. Also, Kublai Khan and Genghis Khan’s names should be in the searchable areas along with Alexander the Great. Also, in 1939, In March, the rest of Czechoslovakia was occupied by Nazi Germany. Slovakia was a puppet state under “German Protection” which was established during this same time period. There may be more suggestions that I may see going forward.

Amazing

It's a very good app! I just wonder what the sources are, and where the creator got the years and dates from for some of the acient stuff. There's many ancient cities I haven't seen before, and I wonder where informarion on how certain ancient empires expanded came from. Either way, it's very good and thorough!

Amazing!

This is the perfect resource for any amateur (or actual) historian. I've been working on a passion project set in the 1800s and have searched for something akin to this app several times. There are two or three similar apps, but they pale in comparison to this one. Simply put, this offers a year by year history and atlas of the world (including nations/empires/tribes/etc. with rulers/leaders) and is definitely worth the moola.

The World

the World by World History Maps is a fun and educational app. The navigation is very intuitive, even for an old guy like me. What I liked most about it is the perspective of change through the years. How gradual, yet profound. Loved the slider button on the bottom that shows a movie of the border changes throughout the years. Also instructive is the click for more information. When watching the Tour de France and a cyclist form Eritrea won the polka dot jersey, I was able to tell my know it all co-worker when Eritrea became a country!
