About
In the first six months of 2026, 20% of global LNG supply was taken offline by conflict in the Middle East. During the same period, 32.5 Mtpa of new liquefaction capacity reached FID, 30 Mtpa of new supply expected to reach first production before year's end. Across North America, Latin America, Africa and APAC, 140 Mtpa of new supply is approaching FID.
Through a period of intense market uncertainty, the LNG industry has continued to operate at pace and with great agility, delivering vital energy solutions at a time of renewed supply shortage.
