World map for iPad
Looking for apps that work with iPad 1and ios5.1. Think this map is useful. I love geography
Needs update to work with iOS 11.
Was great until iOS 11, now does not work. Needs updating thus the reason for rating.
It NEEDS to be UPDATED!
It use to work just fine but no longer because they haven’t updated it since 2015! Please UPDATE!
Exactly what I wanted
I wanted a map to reference when I heard something about a country on the news, social media that I wasn't familiar with. It works great for that. Has never crashed on my Ipad.
Use regularly
This map was free so I don't know what the other reviewers' problems are. And, just like almost every other app, there are those folks claiming that it crashes or doesn't work - well, that's probably the fault of their operating system, not the app. My iPad has the latest iOS and I've only had a problem with an app crashing once (out of hundreds of apps.)
This World Map app works well and I regularly use it to figure out exactly where a country or major city is. In the U.S., most people couldn't locate most countries on an unlabeled map, so this FREE map is very handy. I highly recommend it.

I like having a map at my finger tips, however, this app does crash on my iPad.

Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time downloading this.
Even free : not worth the time you spent downloading it!
The only thing you can see is an ad across the world map and a banner offering you to get the full version!
Not Updated
I teach middle school geography and was looking for an updated map of countries/capitals for ipad so I could walk around the classroom checking work instead of using Google maps all the time. I was so disappointed. In checking the capital of Tanzania (which has been Dodoma since 1996) it said the capital was Dar El Salaam, the old capital. This app canNOT be more than 19 years old! So where are they getting their outdated information? Let's just say I deleted this app right away and will NOT be teaching with it.

Crashed
Crashed. Too basic compared to other similar apps
Disappointing
The map is nice, allowing you to move around the earth, switch to topographic view as well. But the map hardly expands--what you see is what you get. Nice to have a map on my desk, but very limited in cities listed, no US states, etc.
Bad app
App keeps giving ads even when I close them they send me to the web browser then to the App Store and when I go back to the app it crashes

This app lacks detail and you can not zoom in. I have the paid version and it is a disappointment. This map app is only good to see where a country is in the world.
Aggressive ads
I've downloaded over 100 apps for my iPad and this one is the worst in terms of its aggressiveness with ads. They pop over the whole map every time you are trying to view it. Don't bother downloading.
Very Educational!
this is a great app for in school use! the school i teach at has ipads for our 'junior high' and this app has been put to use in class. it has been used especially in geography classes and incorporated into most of the other classes as well!
Not a top notch app
Hard to see map for the ads. Crashes about 30% of the time.
Well, the reviews are accurate
Before even seeing anything in the map, I clicked the x to close an ad and got bumped to the iTunes Store (because the have conveniently placed the "Download this app button" in the upper right hand corner, so if you accidentally click the x twice, you are sent to they tunes store. Ingenious for them, but def not for retaining customers.
Update:
Went back to app after the writing above review and immediately a pop up asking me to upgrade, clicked no and another full page ad. Uninstalling.

Bad
The app stinks. Annoying pop ups, and the x to close them is right on top of the button to purchase the full version in the App Store. So when you close the pop up, you end up going to purchase the full version. Very annoying app overall. Much easier maps to use out there.
