Really good, but could be better
If the map could just allow for one more zoom level so that more detail could be shown, that would be helpful. Also if the map could have the ability to toggle off and on different detail sets, e.g. political data, topographical data, road data, etc. That would be very helpful.

No zoom
You need to zoom in to use the data. Waste of 2 buck.

two bucks ain’t much, but this app seems like it’s nothing more than five screen shots of maps found on the web lol. compared to other things at $2, this is sad. oh well.
Pretty much useless
The world map only shows capital cities, and doesn’t let you zoom in very far. The “search” function is simply a list that you have to scroll thru to find a country (can’t search for cities). The “detailed” map of each country that does show some cities is tiny — the size of a postage stamp — and can’t be expanded to the full screen. Oh, well.

Search function could be better
I got it so I could find cities, countries, etc... and so far it hasn’t work as hoped. I have to search the net first to find out what country it’s in then come here to find it. Works great if you are already familiar with the globe. But if your looking for a city, state, province, territory or region it is useless. For instance just to check it out, I typed California in the search bar and nothing showed.

A globe on my iPad
Those of you who ate giving this app a bad review: did you read the description before you bought it? If you need a highly detailed map of a country, look elsewhere. I wanted a map that showed the bigger picture and this app totally fills that purpose. A great map for when you’re wondering, “where is such-and-such a country?”

Great app for high level planning
If you need a detailed country map...this isn’t for you. But if you want to check where countries are located in relation to each other, capital cities etc....this is great. I use it a lot for the first pass at planning a complicated trip...

I thought this would be a great app showing all the countries. But, you can only zoom once and there is very little extra info. What a bust.
Good reference map on relationship of countries
Not much in detail of individual countries. But I find it useful in its display of geographical relationship of countries.
Disappointed
This version is a major downgrade from the original National Geographic word map.
General Map
I have been using this map for a couple of years now. If you don’t require lots of details, this will work for you.
Disappointing
I used to be able to zoom into detail but that stopped 3-4 years ago. Also there used to be a distance measuring tool which disappeared. It is certainly less than what it once was.

i wish they had a map with just countries on it and one with just country and capitals on it. it is hard to use for people not good in geography. glad i have it.

I use it frequently to review general geographic uncertainties. It is like having a globe on my iPad.
