Great idea but...
Update: I have insured my iPad has a constant connection and I am still having the same issue with lack of recognition (I took a video and some pictures this time. I discovered the ‘Home’ button - it looks like a share button so I didn’t realize it was the Home button. Once you tap that button then several options are available including managing users. After hearing from the developer, several of the things I have mentioned are being addressed in the next update hopefully coming out this week. I really like this app and see it’s usefulness in a class like mine so I will stay tuned for the updates!
Response from developer
Hello Kimmiey, First, thank you for taking the time to write this out - I really appreciate the feedback! I'd like to address all your points & hope this helps you out with your students. The iPad issue is likely because the iPad lacks an internet connection, which prevents the speech recognition from working. I have a new release almost ready to go that will provide a better warning about no connections that should be out this week. This new release also includes labeling around the word groupings, which should help track which groups to do. As far as account, the app already supports an unlimited amount of users. From the home screen, select the icon on the top right & choose "Manage Users". From the user screen, clicking on the "+" button allows you to add users. To set a current user, just tap on their name from this screen and it will highlight them. From the home screen, it will then show the name of the current user. Hopefully, 1.6 should be ready this week and it should take care of the other items you pointed out! Best of luck & stay safe - Sean Updated - I just wanted to follow up with you to see if the 1.6 release addressed your issues? - Sean
