Fun game
I like this game a lot in fact I don’t leave reviews of anything. The only issue I have is make it accurate. An aircraft carrier cannot outrun a destroyer.
Excellent Gme
Been playing this game for over 6 years now and still coming back for more. Perfect to play for a couple of battles or to spend an evening where you just can lose yourself. Best played as a team and if you can make friend of a few like minded players not only makes the game more fun but improves your chances of winning. Ships are well balanced and it is a gamble who you get teamed up with but this goes both ways - some you win, some you lose. Great events which are playable are always around. My biggest complaint is the world chat which should be suspended, not unlike other simulator games, there are unfortunately payers who think they own the game that belittle other players who aren’t as skilled as they want and are offensive in comments. Shame the developers cannot curtail this which would otherwise be a perfect game for all ages.

, I found this game during the covid lockdown downs it kept me entertained whilst being locked down, it’s not so fast paced as COD or Battlefield but strategically it is superior, yes it has some issues along the way but the developers have put them right, the latest changes is suspect will pose some challenges until we get use to them ,but it will keep things interesting that’s for sure,all in all a good game

Good game. Typically good updates. Plenty of variety for free play. Good mix of historic ships, and fictional to keep it interesting.

Matchmatching is rigged in this game too. It is a trademark of the company. I thing they receive royalties for this misconduct
The best warship game ever!
I served in the Navy for 31/2 years as a sonar technician. I have never seen anything like this simulation before on my iPad or offered on my Xbox or PlayStation 5. It has no equal. Just you sit below in a berthing space behind and below a 5 inch 54 gun mount for an hour while that gun fires away at a target on an island on Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico at 5:30 in the morning and you’re still asleep. I bet that’ll wake you up in a hurry! I did! I smacked my head right on a steam pipe, thank goodness it was wrapped. Anyways, WOWs is the most awesome game I’ve ever played, and the sound quality is just perfect too.

Don’t waste you time
Thought this would be a good game. Your shots scatter like you’re firing a shot gun. For some reason when my torpedos hit an enemy they do 500 damage but when they hit me they do thousands. No matter which cannon or shell type is used, more than likely you’ll only get a fraction of the damage and spend the entire round fighting one ship due to this. When you get hit by an enemy it’s no less than 3-5k damage but you rarely can get that on the enemy ships. Idk if it’s due to a bad match making system, terrible game mechanics or just bad luck but have played 16 games each of which I am in the top 3 for both teams and have only won 2. Lost 12 games and draw on 2. Not fun to play.

I couldn’t even make it through the first level of campaign without all of the enemies targeting me I hate it but the game besides that is pretty good so good game trouble camping

enjoyable at times
random game matching remains the worst part of the game, developers don’t think it’s a problem. matching algorithm keeps you in 50%-60% win ratio unless you have you own team with comms. Aside from that game is fun.

While ships in the game are, compared to other games out there, quite balanced versus other games' approaches, war gaming balances PLAYERS with a match maker that attempts to balance good players and bad players together on a team. this yields incredibly frustrating matches where you end up watching idiots do the dumbest things possible, and you can often tell by watching the mini map in the first fifteen seconds of the game, and seeing which directions your randoms move, if you will win or lose that battle. if they go to the fight, you will likely win, because your team can focus fire, but you'll often see one or two ships more to the edge, and you're screwed.
it used to be that if you were a good player, you'd at least get a random chance of getting a decent team,,but now when you stay active and play too much, the matchmaker purposely puts "bad" and "casual" players on your team because it thinks you need to be nerfed. so, now you chances of winning are LESS than random. so, their hard core, enthusiast players are PUNISHED for being active because war gaming's stupid bean counters think its more important to get a few new players to last for a thousand games instead of 200, and maybe spend a few bucks than to have a hard core group of players for YEARS play for thousands of games on a balanced and fun gaming framework.
my whining aside, the game has its merits. it is the best game of its kind i've found and the ship to ship balance is fine, there is little pay to win. there is pay to get a slight advantage, and there are a couple ships (smolensk, atlantico) which have been for years waaaaay to overpowered, but MOST ships and tiers are balanced realistically.
