Why is it that halfway through picking your team it reloads and doesn’t save your team, then when you think it’s saved it hasn’t. 4 of my mates have all had the problem through out the fantasy season so far in different events. Make the app want to save players rather than it not want to save. Make it suited to the user.

Horrible
For a company who’s entire business operates via a website and app I’d expect a lot more. I enjoy fantasy surfing yet cannot access my team via the app, only the website. Never get an update regarding my teams standings during an event nor any event news for that matter until it’s over despite all notifications turned on. Let’s go WSL, it’s 2026.

Fantasy picks is a hassle. Otherwise love WSL
Love having the great surf events at my fingertips plus fantasy league is heaps fun. I just think too many steps to pick teams. Need an obvious button/menu which can be seen in most screens. Also give more functional reminders to pick teams or if we have not done it completely, like once missed doing power picks and then had no selections for that event. My kids roasted me.

New Development Team Needed
I can’t believe how bad this app has gotten. It’s 4 clicks to get to your fantasy team!! I don’t even want to take the time to get into the how poorly it’s designed to make changes to your line up. WSL needs to get rid of all web product managers immediately!!
Now let’s discuss how bad the app performs when watching a broadcast. If your phone goes out of full screen and you go back into the broadcast, the screen goes black and you have to restart the app and watch 90 seconds of ads again!!

WORST SPODTS VIEWING EXPERIENCE
Of the many things wrong with WSL,
this app is the worst thing.
The fact that they direct all traffic for their most viewed days (CT Finals Days) to this app and then spend 0 funding into developing it, is insane and an indicator of their company’s fundamental lack of competency and intelligence.
This is the first experience some fans are getting. They want to tune into to Pipe Finals Day! They find out they have to download an app whatever. Then it looks like it was made in 2008 and barely functions. You watch the ad non stop at the beginning and don’t offer any subscription to remove it. How’s that for their first taste of the sport you are desperately forcing to grow.
Get a clue.

Terrible
I love surfing. I love watching surfing.
I never review or write apps.
But I had to because this thing is so clunky, hard to use, and literally ruins my experience of watching the sport I love .
WSL is great, but this app sucks.

Fantasy portion never works properly
The app never works properly for the fantasy tab. I always have to go to my laptop to check scores.

Insupportable de revoir toujours les meme pubs à chaque fois que l’on change d’écran ou de menu.
En plus l’app est brouillonne avec bcp trop de pub et d’info sur chaque page.

It’s great having all these features but the adds every single time you switch around is overkill. The fantasy league is fun but it would be nice to clearly see your overall standing in your own club. There’s always some glitchy thing going on somewhere within the app as well… If it was an amateur app I’d give a higher rating but cmon just writing off people’s reviews is lazy… you got 2.5 stars overall for a reason

2 ads, over and over
While doing normal playback in full screen, you can’t go back to watching it in full screen after the second ad break for the most part without reloading the live view and watching the same 2 ads again, and again.
This has to be a sales point to their advertising sponsors - “we’ll make sure our fans accidentally watch your ad 10 more times by forcing a live watch reboot.”
Hard to remain a competition day fan/viewer when WSL takes advantage or just doesn’t give a rip about the playback experience.
I’d pay $10/yr for an ad-free experience as a single user. I don’t drink; so, 50% of your ads are really not hitting me.
This has to be a sales point to their advertising sponsors - “we’ll make sure our fans accidentally watch your ad 10 more times by forcing a live watch reboot.”

Fix the playback
The only thing I can’t stand is the lack of an option to play the contest from the beginning like on YouTube. When the finals start and we are forced to watch on the app and happen to be in a different time zone or get a late start, we are hosed as we can’t start from the beginning. That makes it trash

Notifications not working properly.
I used to get notifications when heats and events were starting. Now I don’t get anything.
App barely works
Terrible live stream experience and never sends notifications for when heats start so am constantly missing events
Replay
I keep wanting to like this app and watch replays of heats but unfortunately when a commercial comes on mid heat the screen goes back to vertical and then won’t change back to horizontal without starting over. Keep Hopi g this gets fixed but never does.
