Great app but video do not play

The videos in the app do not show though the sound is running.

Not all it claims to be

The video clips are under a minute, the photos are a handful, the write-ups would be longer in an encyclopedia. This app falls short of what it claims to be. Glad I got it for free. But still, too uninspiring to actually keep it on my device.

Sound

For some reason I have no sound on my iPad Pro
Yet sound working on music

A Whitewash

Such an enormous amount of information to cover, this app hardly scratches the surface. Important symbols such as the swastika are completely whitewashed from this history; we see them almost daily in the hands of US citizens, why hide them from historical records? The truth of these crimes is ugly but needs to be seen in the historic record so that when it begins to occur again it is recognized. They could have done so much better.

Why are Axis leaders mixed in with Allied leaders? This seems a deliberate attempt to commingle heroism with the pure evil of white supremacy, making the entire purpose of the app questionable; at the very least it is sloppy.

Outstanding Apps!!!!

I own twelve of your apps, and they are all brilliant in every respect! Simply outstanding quality! Perfection. Thank you.

Fantastic!

This is a great app to learn more about the war and has great pictures! If you need help finding where things are which I needed press the help button of course. I love the videos and pictures and very high detailed timeline! Great job I'm happy with the 5$ I just spent for this app! Thanks for this I was looking everywhere for one.

Censorship

If "most countries" can't deal with Nazi symbols, then censor the app in their country, not the U.S.A.

Spineless

No mature adult gravitates or approves of these symbols, but to omit them from the historical record is irresponsible. Thank goodness your competitors apps reflect more integrity.

I Can't Believe the Censorship!

This update ... eliminating symbols on a historical app ... did not the Nazi's themselves eliminate things that they did not like? This is crazy for this to happen to an historical app ... a five-star app now drops to one star or less. This is America .... Why not make the censorship mandatory on the other countries servers, not ours?

Do NOT remove the Nazi symbols

Folks, the Nazis existed. The Holocaust happened. Removing "Nazi symbols" will do NOTHING to change that. I am so tired of people trying to rewrite history "so as not to offend anyone." I'm half German and I look at World War II as a dark stain on my heritage but also take it as a lesson: Evil MUST be confronted and STOPPED before it takes root and grows. To try to lessen the impact of the Nazis' evil is to forget the lessons of history and risk that kind of hatred and intolerance coming back.
Put the swastikas and what-not back. We must NEVER forget and NEVER let that evil come back.

WW2 Int.

An excellent app that contains detailed information of key occurrences leading up to and during the Second World War, World War Two interactive is better in some ways than lengthy textbooks. I am certainly happy with my purchase and am looking forward to any new content the creators may add, job well done.

Ultimate WWII App

Incredibly well-designed app, as it is able to be extremely informative while maintaining the user's interest (and overall historical accuracy) by including a wealth of truly interesting - much never seen or heard before - audio/visual elements. Just an amazing find - not to mention tremendous value - for anyone at all interested in WWII, from the true novice to even the most well-versed historian. Could not recommend any more strongly.

Very Good

I forget what I paid ($4.99?) but it sure was worth it. If you have any interest in history at all, this App is a great way to learn about WWII, with plenty of facts, photos, and Videos. Whoever put this together did a very good job, not wearying you with too many details but giving plenty-enough facts to help us better understand the conflicts involved. I had no idea that 70 million died in WWII.

I think my husband will like the videos of all the war planes. I just like having a better understanding of this war. This will take some time though, as there's lots in this App to know (even pre-WWII stuff, like WWI). For about $5, I can't imagine a better and less expensive way get all this information. Many thanks to the developers!

Outstanding App

Outstanding app. Great source of WWII information all in one spot. I hope they keep adding to the data.

issue with sound

when i first received this app, there was no sound. I contacted support and they promptly fixed the problem. app is pretty impressive for the price.

This app is EXCELLENT!

This is a first-rate app by any standard! I am a hardcore WWII enthusiast and LOVE this app. It does a superb job of delivering information to the user in a concise and logical way, yet offers the user a chance to tap on a subject if they want to know more with TONS of really good pictures and videos and of course, text. Even better is that the information is ACCURATE and very well researched.

The description as it is written in the App Store is right on with its list of highlights and features. Very easy to navigate and a great user experience. I just have to say that the user who gave this one star saying that it's just a collection of wikipedia articles is out of his mind and seems to miss what the purpose of this app is altogether, so fear not, it genuinely delivers.

Where this app excels is in being thorough without getting to dull and bogging down the user with a bunch of information that is probably irrelevant to them. With all of the pictures, videos and text it keeps the user experience engaging and navigation is very intuitive. If you want to know what Panther tank production was at the Daimler factory in December 1944, then this doesn't go that deep. If you want to know that the Panther first saw action at the Battle of Kursk during the summer of 1943 and that's introduction was marred by mechanical problems, then yes, it goes that deep and will have some great photos and videos to boot.

The photos and videos are very nice and not the same stuff you have seen a million times before. Some are familiar of course, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much new material there was. The sheer volume of pictures makes this app worth it alone as you just aren't going to find anything even close anywhere else. So if you're worried that this might be a watered-down overview of WWII with 9 pages of stuff you already knew, fear not, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised.

This app earned its 5 stars!

Wikipedia Lite in an App

This app is just a nice shell wrapped around a bunch of Wikipedia articles. No original research is included and all photos are culled from the public domain.

Awesome

There is no other way to put it for a history buff like myself but Awesome. I am now searching for other apps the designers may have out there it's that good. And remember we must never forget, never

America wins the second World War

I was glad to see that apparently, on the odd occasion, Britain took part in World War II
Video clips are reasonable but many are Pathe? ' keep the spirit up ' type and the good ones are far too short
Not easy to negotiate the format unlike a book which would, in my opinion, give a far better idea of events
I had thought that at the price the recordings and videos alone would make it worthwhile, however I am wrong
Don't buy it, you would be better off with a more expensive book and if you want similar videos and recordings they are available free on the Internet
Had hoped update would add to the content, it didn't
Its rubbish

Silence is Deafening

I'd love this program if I could get sound. Don't buy this app until the developer fixes the sound!
