Worry Fossil

Worry Fossil is a private, offline-first journal for writing down worries and revisiting them later. Put a worry into words, seal it away for a while, then come back to a simple question: did it actually happen? There are no daily streaks to maintain and no set exercises to complete. When a thought keeps circling in your mind, write it down and leave it here for now. Some worries do not need an answer today. GIVE YOUR WORRIES TIME What if tomorrow goes wrong? What if things get worse? Will the thing I fear actually happen? Write down your worry and choose how long to set it aside. When it is ready to revisit, compare what you imagined with what actually happened. If there is still no answer, you can seal it again and give it more time. WHAT NEVER HAPPENED BECOMES STARLIGHT Some things that weighed on your mind never came to pass. Let those worries become stars in your monthly star maps. When you look back at that sky, it can remind you that the future you feared was not the only possible outcome. WHAT YOU LIVED THROUGH BECOMES A FOSSIL Some worries do come true. Let that experience become a fossil, and add an inscription about what you want to remember now that you have been through it. If the words are not there yet, you can skip the inscription and return to it later. PRIVATE, OFFLINE, AND IN YOUR HANDS • No account required • Core writing, sealing, and revisiting features work offline • Private writing is encrypted within the app and is not uploaded to the developer's servers • Manually export and import backups to move your writing between devices • Delete individual records or permanently clear your writing data Exported backup files are not password-protected. Anyone with access to a backup can read its contents, so keep these files somewhere safe. AT YOUR OWN PACE Core writing, sealing, and revisiting features are free, with no limit on how many worries you seal. Additional fossil artwork and personalization features are available through optional in-app purchases. No subscription is required. You do not need to write every day or catch up on days you missed. Come back whenever you want a place to leave a worry for a while. May the campfire warm your night.
