About

WPP K9 Tracker is an app for handlers and schools working with scent-tracking dogs. One person lays a trail, another trails it with the dog — the app records the GPS route, measures the dog's accuracy, and gives you tools to learn, analyze, and compete. FEATURES: • Record GPS trails in two modes (laying / trailing), even in the background with the screen off. • A real map (satellite, streets, terrain, hybrid) — see exactly where the dog worked. • Accuracy metrics: the dog's deviation from the laid trail, distance, time, efficiency. • Articles (objects on the trail) with photos, start and finish markers. • Live training rooms: chat, participants' live positions on the map, voice, route drawing. • Course / instructor mode: run a group, statistics, history. • Rankings and competition: within a course and global/regional (opt-in, under a nickname). • Tracking conditions: weather and analysis of how wind/humidity affect scent work. • Achievements and badges, dog profiles, statistics. • Export a trail to PDF (with a map) and GPX, offline maps. • 9 languages, light/dark mode. Trails are saved locally on your phone first — they work with no signal (forest, field). The app uses location, including in the BACKGROUND, to keep recording the trail while the screen is off — this is core functionality during scent-tracking training.
