About

Your band counts every beat and saves the verdict for tomorrow morning. Wristle gives it a voice today. Pick one goal before a run and the band does the talking. No second screen, no watch on the other wrist, phone in your pocket. PACE RADAR Hold the Pace goal to set a target, anywhere from 3:00 to 8:00 per kilometre. One strong buzz the moment you hit it, then silence. Drift off and soft ticks come back, faster the closer you get, so you can steer by feel alone. More than a minute per kilometre off target and the wrist goes quiet, because a buzz you cannot act on is just noise. HOLD A ZONE Zones built from your Max HR and Resting HR, or paste your exact cutoffs and match your band one for one. Hold the Zone goal to pick the one you want, and you get the same radar around it: one buzz on arrival, silence while you hold it, and the zone you drifted into buzzing its own number until you come back. On the run screen your target band lights up and the rest step back. ZONE ANNOUNCEMENTS For runs where you want no coaching at all, pick Quiet. Then entering zone 2 buzzes twice, zone 5 buzzes five times, with a cooldown per zone so a heart rate sitting on a boundary does not nag. Choose a Pace or Zone goal instead and the announcements stand down, because one run gets one speaker and you should never have to work out which buzz was which. YOUR OWN RULES Heart rate above or below any number. Pace slower or faster than a target. Each rule gets its own buzz pattern, so you know what happened without looking. Rules fire once, on the crossing, with hysteresis and a cooldown, not every second you sit over the line. TAP THE BAND Off until you switch it on, so nothing acts on a tap you never chose. Switched on: double-tap to arm, double-tap again within three seconds to start or stop an activity. Taps are ignored while you are actually running, because footstrike sets off the tap sensor, and they work again the moment you stop. WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG Every Bluetooth transition, strap event, tap decision and buzz is traced to the millisecond, on your phone. Add the Mark widget to your home screen and tap it the moment something fires wrongly, so the moment is easy to find later. One tap mails the log to me. WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone on iOS 16.6 or later. A WHOOP 5.0 band that is already set up and paired through its own official app. Wristle joins that pairing, it cannot create it, so without the official app having done the pairing first there is nothing for Wristle to find. Heart rate broadcast switched on. Wristle owns that setting: out of the box it turns the broadcast on when a run starts and off when it ends, and you can set it to stay on, or off, in the Connect tab. PRIVACY No account, no analytics, no servers of mine. Heart rate, GPS and the diagnostic trace stay on your phone. The only thing that ever leaves it is a support mail you write and send yourself, with the trace attached if you choose to attach it. Wristle is an independent app for WHOOP 5.0 owners. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WHOOP, Inc. WHOOP is a trademark of its owner, used here only to say which band Wristle works with.
