Translator & Cirth

The keyboard for this app works well, however, the Android version has Cirth and this one doesn't. In addition, the translate section seems completely broken, showing a blank screen.

Love the app, yet, I cannot find it in keyboard settings

I love this app. I have an IPhone 10, however, I cannot find the “Write in Runic” in the keyboard options, regarding selecting languages. I highly doubt it’s my phone. It’s possibly a bug, or something.

No Keyboard

I specifically paid for this stupid app for the keyboard and after following the instructions, the keyboard is not there. I want a refund on this. Unacceptable.

Keyboard

Cool idea. But when I go to add it too add it as a keyboard the option isn’t there. I go to settings general add new keyboard but the option too add it isn’t there.

Stopped working

The app was great. Now it says reimplement todo. I deleted it and reinstalled but same problem happens. And keyboard does not have the button to change. It is stuck on the one that is full screen with runes, not traditional keyboard where you swap keyboards.

Totally blank

The screen and keyboard are white. In the app you can barely see in light yellow what is being typed, but the keyboard itself is totally white so I have no idea what symbols I’m pressing. It said in the app stats that this would be compatible with my phone. Apparently not, I’ve got an iPhone 11 and am running an older OS than the new phones these days cause it’s more adapted to my phone, and I’m not willing to update it cause of the incompatibilities designed into the updates to make older phones obsolete. Really love the idea but I just wasted $5 on it, if it is an OS issue then the preferred OS should be listed.

Ogham inaccuracies

There were some inaccuracies in the Ogham (primarily in pronunciation but also in appearance of some) and that was the only runic system I wanted it for. My husband said that the Norse runes were mostly accurate so it would be good for those

Update is great

I had the older version of the app and the keyboard didn’t fit the screen very well but this new version is amazing. Great work.

Not as described

Tried to get a phonetic translation and just got letter translation. Can get that free online. Disappointed.

White Screen and font

After initially loving this app, I noticed after only 1 day the app has a white screen and font. Nit helpful. Any fixes or did I just robbed?

Hi, this should definitely not happen! Do you know what version of the app you are on? You should be able to see it in the app store. Also, could you let me know which version of iOS you are on? It may help if you restart your phone (sorry for the dumb suggestion, but sometimes it works!)

App was downgraded.

Worked fine until today. New version doesn’t do anything.

Hi, I see that that your review is for version 1.5, which is a very old version indeed. Could you see if you could upgrade to 2.0 or higher and whether this solved your issue?

Buggy

The GUI is difficult to navigate and you have to complete close it and open it again if you want to get past the first screen. Can’t translate runes from other people even though they are using the same application on their phone. Has potential, but not worth it.

Turkic isn’t in the Add keyboard setting

I looked at the updates and it says that you added the Old Turkic Alphabet to the Keyboard settings, but I cannot find it there. There’s only 2 Futhark Keyboards. Please add the Old turkic to the keyboards. I didn't buy this app just for the only thing I wanted the most, not to be included….

Hi Klartissa, sorry about this! I’ve rebuilt the app from scratch and am adding all features again day by day. Tomorrow I will publish an update with the Turkic keyboard re-enabled. Let me know if it works for you. :)

seems cool but

when i copy the elder futhark to paste it Sowilo renders as epsilon. Also is it not possible to copy the text?

Hi! Sowilo has many different appearances, varying the number of squiggles. As plain text there are two different letters: the Elder Futhark and Younger Futhark variants. If you're looking for the 'thunderbolt' variant, try switching the alphabet to Younger Futhark or Medieval!

Great Design, Flaws In Execution

Love the functionality and interface. Unfortunately, however, there are errors when writing with the Elder Futhark. For example: 'd' is rendered as ᛏ instead of ᛞ, 'b' is rendered as ᛈ instead of ᛒ, 'y' as ᚢ instead of ᛃ. (My wife has the Android version, and these problems don't occur with hers.) Also some errors with IPA notation giving incorrect pronunciation: ᛒ as /β/ instead of /b/ and ᛞ as /ð/ instead of /d/. Hope these issues can be fixed soon. Otherwise a fantastic app.

Hi Mr. Baby Happy Pants, sorry about these errors! Please let me know if the update works better you, I've resolved the issues. :) The letter 'y' doesn't naturally map to any letter in some futhark alphabets, so it's not so easy to determine whether (and when) it should be ᛃ or ᚢ. It may misfire sometimes, but I hope the app works better for you now.

Crashes when trying to save image

There’s an option to save a transliteration as an image but any time I try to save to my gallery the app crashes.
Disappointing given the price of the app.
Also I would have preferred to contact support over this but there doesn’t seem to be any option to do so.
Nor are there any instructions within the app itself.
A pity as it’s quite interesting otherwise.
