About

Can I write this off? WriteOff tells you, and tells you why. Snap a receipt or type what you bought. You see: • Yes, partly, or no, in plain words • Your write-off: how much of what you paid counts, with the math shown • Why, in a sentence or two • Where it goes on your tax form (the Schedule C line, for Schedule C filers) • What records to keep • The IRS source behind the answer, one tap away ONE QUICK QUESTION WHEN IT MATTERS If the answer depends on a fact, like who was at the meal or how much you use the laptop for work, WriteOff asks one question at a time and remembers your answer for next time. It never guesses a fact that changes your write-off. RULES DECIDE, AI READS Answers come from a rules engine built on IRS publications, notices, and form instructions for each tax year, including the 2026 mileage rates and depreciation limits. AI only reads your receipt and words the explanation. It can't change the answer or the amount. HONEST WHEN IT'S NOT A WRITE-OFF If something isn't deductible, WriteOff says so plainly and shows what would change the answer. It will never help invent a business purpose. EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE Every check is saved with its receipt, your answers, and its sources. Search your history, see this year's total, and export a CSV or PDF for your accountant. BUILT FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS Freelancers, sole proprietors, LLCs, S corps, partnerships, and side businesses. Keep more than one business separate. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sign in with Apple. No bank link, no ads, no tracking. You choose whether AI reads your receipts, and you can delete your account and data at any time. WriteOff gives general information based on public IRS guidance for U.S. federal income tax. It is not tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it doesn't cover state taxes. When an answer depends on judgment, WriteOff tells you to check with a tax professional.
