Why the need for the online account?

I noticed several other apps do the same thing where they require the users to sign up and make an account. I just needed a story template, outline and world building planner. Don’t understand the need for an app to do that when plenty other apps allow the users access to features without having to collect their emails…

Sorry to hear the need for an email is an inconvenience. The app uses online storage to backup all user data, this way users can access their work from multiple devices (Try out our web app if you haven't!). User accounts (emails) are needed to link a specific user to their online data and verify which data belongs to who, providing access control and security. This is the way the app works now anyway. We are looking into providing different account options, including the ability to use the app with no email. This will limit some features, such as online backups and using multiple devices, but it sounds like it may fit the need of some users better, including yourself. So lookout for that update in the future!

Can’t sign in

I really like the lay out of the app from the pictures but I can’t log in. I put in my email and waited for the verification email but it never came through. I tried going back to the sign in page but no matter how much I refreshed the app or deleted it and reinstalled it, it keeps showing me a “send another link” screen. If some one know how to fix this please tell me

Looks great - unable to confirm, keyboard needed (12.9 w/2nd Pencil)

Could I have used the onscreen floating keyboard? Yes, though functionally that hinders the creative process. it appears to be the best free app for writing that I didn't get to try.

My go to

I’ve tried a lot of apps for planning out stories, I’ve been met with constant adds, paywalls, ect. But this app doesn’t have any of that. The layout is great, I love being able to make default categories in the character section. There’s so many nice options for what to do. My only complaint is no indication of when you misspell a word. But that’s not that important. I also love being able to work on the same story across devices. Sometimes when I’m out and about it’s really nice to just write down an idea I had in the moment instead of having to wait to get home and maybe still remembering it. Lovely app, would reccomend.

Great! You should add a character emoji thing in there so we can SHOW what the actual character looks like, but perfect either from that!

This app helped me alot with my story planning, although I would like if there was an option for an only picture document where i could add the full picture and not a cropped circle especially for the world building part :D

Love the app though! Still worth the use ;)

Great app, technical difficulties

I really love this app because I can organize my items and connect them to each other. However, it keeps deleting what I’ve written and I don’t know why. Please fix this!

It won’t allow me to access my Work

I have multiple characters later out completely, the world, and the first chapter done and now it’s telling me that it’s “Upgrading Database” So it won’t let me view my work although I am signed in. I’ve tried to enter through the website and on other devices and still nothing.

Everything I was looking for!

I been looking for another app for a while because I kept having problems with it and encountered upon this one. I found it incredibly easy to navigate and had everything I was looking for! It also syncs up between my devices pretty well.

(FYI I would recommend adding more ways to export like saving to iCloud because Google docs won’t work for some reason?)

Really handy

A simple app, has really useful features for keeping track of the interrelated aspects of a novel. Really handy for planning or just making notes on existing books.

Really enjoy it, appreciate the minimalistic design and ability to add images.

Nice app

Nice app but sometimes after I spend some time making a characters backstory, personality, etc I’ll close the app and come back to it later and pretty much all of it will be deleted. Pls fix this :)

Good app!

I like it a lot, it’s helpful with stories I’m writing and it’s generally a very nice layout, and it’s organized. One thing that I didn’t like, is it would sometimes delete my work. I would spend awhile making the stories, then I would go back to it, and all of my progress would be deleted. It also won’t allow me to edit parts farther back into the story, I can only edit the parts recently made, without deleting the entire thing. Other than those, I love the app.

Amazing potential, just needs a bit more

I absolutely love the ability to link tags and alter texts in this app. It’s given my worldbuilding a whole new level of organization.
I would pay a good price if this app had certain other basic features such as:

-auto save after breaking a paragraph (I have accidentally deleted entire articles by accidentally collapsing the tab I was writing in)

-project backup (because I have so much written and developed on my project that I would die inside if something happened and I accidentally deleted the app. I also have no idea where it’s saving the notes that I try to export. In the app page it says to Google docs but I never set that up or linked anything through this app)

-custom main tabs (instead of just a tab for story, character, world, and outline I would like the option to add extra tabs next to them to scroll through for miscellaneous things such as notes. I’ve just been using the outline tab to write down aspects of my story that cannot fit in a character or world subject, but it takes away from my ability later on to start and actual story outline.

-simple profile and user settings. (The app is very simple at startup which can be good but it would be nice to have at least a sidebar or something where I can access some simple settings such as light/dark mode, profile info, contact info for support and all that.

These are all very specific nitpicks and honestly the app is amazing for what it does. Have found no other free app that has this functionality. Which is why I would 100% pay to see it improved.

Won’t let my sign in

It kept saying that it sent a verification code every time I tried signing in. It was very annoying so I just deleted the app.
